whole interview the point that stands out young turks POV ===================================================== what do you think of the interview overall? what do you think of what the young turks say about orielly's assertation about that colin powell voting for barack because he is black. do you guys ever get those questions from nonblacks about why we voted for barack? how do you feel about those implications?
I did not vote for Barack Obama because he was a black man. It was because he was the frontrunner in the Democratic Party. It would not make a bit of difference who the frontrunner is.
I think the interviewer from the young turks is definitely on point. Its unfortunate that these questions and thoughts seem to only come from the left wing. Personally I am conservative in a lot of my thinking and would like to see more conservative policies implemented, but it goes against my own interest to support a group that is so obviously race minded against minorities in particular blacks because I don't think they'd assume these things or at the very least say them to Indian, Asian, or Hispanic candidates. There's still a lingering racism in this country where certain older white people feel like this line of questioning and thinking is well within their rights, Its really unfortunate because if someone like Collin Powell had run against Obama he would have definitely gotten my vote.
And you wonder why people think you contribute nothing but negativity. Where did I blame "the white man" Show me any other group that gets accused of voting based on race more than blacks. You can't and you know it. Quit trolling.
There were some people who voted for Obama just because he was black. There were some people who voted for Romney/ McCain just because they were white. nothing else needs to be said.
