I notice someone put up "The Twilight Zone". That automatically reminds me of a similar show called "The Outer Limits."

The intro used to scare me as a kid.

hahaha... yea, the first lionel was better. he had more soul. the second one seemed like a stage actor. kinda reminds me of the mysterious case of the two darrins on bewitched.

My oldest brother has literally thousands (last count over 5,000) television series and movies as part of his collection going back to the 1950's and forward. He is a child of the 1950's and 60's. I asked him recently what he thought of television today. He said there are very few television shows worth watching. He does like 24, Grey's Anatomy, and a few others. He says the reality shows today are trash. Not much today that makes you think or leaves a lasting message. I was watching his "The Fugitive" series, what a great television series that was. It ran for four years and ended with Dr. Richard Kimball catching the one arm man who killed his wife. I watched the whole series during a holiday weekend. It was better than the remakes.

    haha..

me and u grew up in the same generation

I loved watching AYAoTD on Nickelodeon, back when it was a decent channel. That, Salute Your Shorts, Rugrats, all those good shows. I also looked forward to the Hercules/Xena/Jack of All Trades show block on the WB network.

Bruce Campbell got his chops wet with cameos on Hercules and Xena, then ended up doing a show of his own.

yeah, over here I actually looked forward to weekends and watching REGULAR tv. It was like you didn't need cable because of all those good shows.

There was some controversy over the Aunt Viv replacement. If I remember correctly Janet Hubert-Whitten (original Viv) claimed that it was Will Smith that convinced the network to get rid of her.

    This Bulletin Just In:

In the GRAND TRADITION of doing their Damndest to re-tread older telly programmes, be they originally a howling success ("Hawai'i Five-O" [1968]) or a massive failure ("V" [1984], "Battlestar Galactica"[1977]), here comes an example of the former:

I don't care if James Caan's son is speraheading the roster of talent here.

Like the purchase of Marvel by Disney, my take on it....is one word:

    NO.
