If all of those were white on black that city would be a smoldering ash pile. Thank goodness that's not the case!

Dwyane Wade's Cousin Fatally Shot Pushing Baby Stroller in Chicago
By DAVID CAPLAN and TARA FOWLER
    Aug 26, 2016, 9:53 PM ET

WATCH: Nykea Aldridge, 32, was not the intended target, according to police.
The first cousin of Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade was shot and killed in Chicago Friday afternoon, the Wade family has confirmed.

"My cousin was killed today in Chicago. Another act of senseless gun violence. 4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal. #EnoughIsEnough," the NBA star tweeted Friday evening.

Nykea Aldridge, 32, was pushing a baby in a stroller in the Parkway Gardens neighborhood after leaving the Dulles School of Excellence at around 3:30 p.m. when two men opened fire at another man, according to ABC-owned station WLS.

Aldridge was caught in the crossfire and hit in the head and arm, WLS reported. She was taken to Chicago's John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where she was pronounced dead.

She was not the intended target, police said, WLS reported.

Police are questioning two men in connection with her death, WLS reported.

Donald Trump Uses Death of Dwyane Wade’s Cousin to Illustrate His View

Donald J. Trump took to Twitter on Saturday morning to comment on the news that a cousin of Dwyane Wade, the N.B.A. star, had been shot and killed in Chicago, linking the death to his effort to win support from African-American voters.

“Dwayne Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago,” Mr. Trump wrote, misspelling Mr. Wade’s given name, which was later corrected. “Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!”

Mr. Trump, who initially did not express sympathy for the family of the slain woman, Nykea Aldridge, later in the day posted a Twitter message offering his condolences.

Mr. Trump has been courting African-American voters by painting a dire picture of life in minority communities, one troubled by poverty, violence and dysfunction, especially in “inner cities.”

His case to black voters is that minority communities have suffered because of failed Democratic policies, and that they should support his candidacy.

So then how do you account for situations like Akai Gurly Freddy Gay Tamir Rice and John Crawford where we KNOW for an absolute fact their lives were never in danger never threatened because none of these people did a damn thing except exist while being black and not a single fucking person is doing any time because of it. I literally do not get how you bypass blarringly obvious cases like this in favor of gray areas where there's some kind of shoot out or dangerous situation. And these are the cases we were lucky enough to hear about and catch on tape.
God only knows how many more there are and that's why everyone is damn tired of it.

Why? Protesting would be more effective.

Who are you talking to? I never bypassed Tamir Rice or John Crawford. Stop talking out of your ass. Crawford in particular is dear to my heart and l repeatedly have spoken out against his death. Put the bong down.

Well we've been told that apparently people have been protesting. Guess it's not working. Sooo..time to address the war zone.

Agreed. I don't want it, but what else can we do? It's gotten completely out of control in Chicago.

Obviously, protesting isn't working. It's time for some drastic measures. The gangs have taken over.

And Dwayne Wade's female cousin was gunned down this weekend. Her mother, this was her second child lost to gun violence.

    It's terrible. I can't even imagine.

Better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6. How does that apply in those situations.

Again.. Before you comment, follow the conversation that was being discussed.

DudeNY said if cops are held criminally accountable they will think of this and not shoot, and l re-noted that cops likely won't stop to ponder that..because of their mantra and training.
It's not me saying it, bloomin' hell.

    From article:

"....But as these needed reforms play out, let's not forget Sean Bolton, the Memphis police officer who was shot to death July 31 while walking up to an illegally parked car. Bolton was among more than 70 American police officers who have died so far this year in the line of duty, more than a quarter of them by gunfire.

.... To understand survival through the psychology of a cop, come with me behind the closed doors of an American police training academy.

One of the very first things taught to me was that on every call an officer might respond to there will be at least one gun present -- the one the officer brings to the scene. So this was drummed into us: If a physical confrontation occurs between you and a suspect, you are in a fight for your life. Why? Because statistics show that if a suspect takes away an officer's weapon in an altercation, there is an 85 percent chance that the officer will be killed by that weapon.

So it shouldn't surprise anyone that police officers are trained to win in combat situations, when their lives are on the line. As a mantra among police officers goes, "I would rather be judged by twelve than carried by six" - that is, 12 jurors rather than six pallbearers.

Indeed, the courts have long recognized that police officers are often forced to make split-second judgments about the amount of force that is necessary, and to make those judgments in circumstances that are tense, uncertain and rapidly evolving. Guidelines for how this force should be exercised were established by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1989 in the case of Graham v. Connor: "severity of the crime being investigated, whether the suspect poses an immediate threat to the safety of the officer or others, and whether the individual is actively resisting arrest or attempting to evade arrest by flight." The reasonableness of a particular use of force, the court said, must be judged from the perspective of the officer engaged in the confrontation, not with the 20/20 vision of hindsight.
    "

Now tell me why it surprises you then this shit keeps happening? They are taught there is "inherent danger, and no accountability". So take that shit up with them, ok?

I would be screaming for them because no way in hell would l pay taxes and then be held hostage and forced to endure these drug-dealing gang-bangers in my street at that digraceful rate. The Wild West has nothing on them.

I read about Dwayne Ward's sister.
Do you know "why" that shooting occured?
    Read it and weep...

I heard the reason on the news last night.

    It's disgusting.

What can be done about the proliferation of gangs?

What IS enough going to be enough? How can they put a dent in the gangs? What needs to happen for gangs to go back to being obscure (because they'll never completely go away). Legalizing all drugs? Would THAT do it?

How has it been allowed to even GET to this point?

    Useless pieces of shit indeed.

Well it starts in the home, l would think. No-one is there to reign them in. So you end up having to beg the N.G to come and police them. Then there are their pathetic murderous initiations. Legalizing drugs won't remove that warped blood-lust.
TDK and one other on here said give them jobs. That will fix it.

I feel sorry most for the Chicago teen kids forced to become gang members or be killed. What kind of intimidation horror is that? And this is in America? It's despicable.
