Honestly, I have nothing in my wallet, what would prove anything. Ok some cards, my ID and some money, some tickets and one very old never used condom and a baby pic of my youngest brother. So what will u tell from that???

Sometimes doing that means even hiding something bigger. It could be just a psychological trick.

What so ever, there things u cannot find out in the internet. If u guys fit, u will see in reallife. Not trouhg snooping.

Do I check in the internet other guys? Well yes I do, but ways to do that are very limited in Germany. We don´t have payed services for all those things u have in the states, plus when his name is John Smith good luck with the search!

at one time, looking at a photo ID would make me feel confident that the person before me was really that person on the driver's license...so the funny thing is that when i first started dating magic...i did see his driver's license...passport when we were in the airport...he encouraged me to look at his youtube videos...myspace...facebook...website...that person linked together and that was really who he said he was...now steps in another wallet...driver's license...passport...he was also another person...

now this was probably a more advanced situation than most people will encounter but it sure is enough to have my radar up...and great writing material because it almost seems unbelievable...

there are still days when i think it was all just a bad dream:smt009

You're right Nouharel - and that was the case. Since he was sooo "open" I didn't really think it was necessary. I guess he didn't think I would really google him.

I think it's really funny what people are saying. There is a case here in CA where the girl was found yesterday after 18 years of being abducted. She was abducted by a registered sex offender. I don't know...I think everyone would feel pretty badly if they brought some charming nice man into their lives and later found that they very easily could have found out that he was a convicted molester (by just a few clicks of a button).

Sorry but most bad guys don't wear a big sign and in fact are typically very charming. It's the very arrogance of thinking that we all should just *know* or have a *feeling* or *sense* that has them access people's lives. Look at what Lipstick went through...she's not a naive person at all!

Obviously, googling someone is not a fool proof method.

Sorry R - I know you well enough to know that you would be singing a VERY different tune if we were talking about a situation where your ex-wife brought someone around and you found out that she could have easily found things out about him.

LA sweets - I did post what I found...well the basics.
