Yes, I can believe it. Whether I agree or disagree with her position, I think she has a great marketing tool . Her marketing is excellent, and she has an audience or a buyer for the product that she trying to sell. This sister could probably do seminars and tours across the US and speak to sold out crowds.

 

I guess this can considered some food for thought...

mainly judging by the way you phrased it. This could all be some sort of marketing tool to cash in on a high demand of something in particular out there in the world, in this case, black women 'needing' black men for anything and everything under the sun.



That's how most great entrepreneurs think: Develop an idea for something that will generate a high demand of what you're selling, and then ultilize any given resources to get it off the ground, and then cash in on all of the benefits that come with it.



For all we know, this chick could be happliy dating, and/or married to a black man, and just saw an opportunity to get rich in all of the 'angry sistas' out there who are desperately in need of only a black man.

I anyway don't see how we may have fallen for the scam though, for just finding out about the website (boycottblackmen.com) and, in regards to the PearlJr woman, I told her to f.... off with her BS from the first post she posted here and never bothered myself with her ever since,and I don't see how anyone else in here has "fallen for her scam". She just wants audience. But there will be lots of black women(and not only) who will fall for this, I presume, and will be happy to buy her books, and watch her shows, and think 'yeah.........this woman has a point, black people should stay together and "help the community - by fucking the community and the community only"...(HOW RIDICULOUS what do these 2 have to do with each other) -sorry for getting a bit sarcastic but its starting to get on my nerves - and white people should stay in their boat too" . Well, if it sells and there is a market for it, someone has to catch on it and exploit it sooner or later. It figures.

about boycottblackmen, I don't know much about IT regulations, but someone should forbid that site. We're in 2006 and IR marriage, yet alone love or dating, is as legal as it can get. Therefor in my opinion, uniting (gathering) on a website for the purpose of somehow (I still don't see how) boycotting black men who date white women, or even attempting to spread this type of propaganda, is illegal. I know freedom of expression is freedom of expression, but growing the wave of hate that already exists towards IR between BM and WW, in an "official" form such as a website, can do nothing to the "everyone has the right to seek happiness" provided in you guys Constitution.

 

When I said that we may have fallen for a scam, what I meant was that we may have taken PearlJr, and other black female con artists like her way too seriously. Not to say that we actually believe all of the horse-shit that they spew in order to drum up a loyal(and painfully lonely and naive) audience, since so far, I haven't read one single post from anyone in this entire forum who actually does... :roll:



and, I don't think the site can be 'forbidden', let alone outlawed in any way, and this is the Internet after all, so to make a long story short, everything goes.

It's a marketing tool geared towards a group of black women who are angry about black men dating abits among other things. It's another attempt to focus on less than 15% of the total black male population in order to once again black black men! It will sell because there is an audience.

The two problems I have with this site and much of Pearl's message is that it uses the choices of black men who date interracially ( a small number) "unite" or supposedly mobilize black women. I am not sure exactly what the purpose of the mobilization is? First, I think of a hundreds of reasons for black women in the US to mobilize and I dare say interracial dating isn't one of them. What Pearl and boycottblackmen.com will probably do is continue the pattern among some black women of blaming black men for every darn thing. This will mean that black women are once again experiencing theselves as victims.

Second and most importantly, it is time for more black women to take responsbilities for their own individual choices thereby empowering themselves. This is the mobilization that is needed among more black women-the need stop blaming black men and accept the choices they have made. I find any attempt to prevent to prevent or stall the personal accountability movement that is needed among some black women personally offensive. If Pearl or boycottblackmen wanted to empower black women they would use another approach. (my opinion of course).

I'm not sure whether you read the web site or Pearl as scam. What would be the point? Just look at it as another ploy for some angry black women to blame everybody except themselves.

My sister's a die-hard racist. I've never dated a white girl but I have six nephews and nieces - all mixed-race and all close to me. She basically ignores their existence. People here in the UK would be surprised what some black folks say about whites behind closed doors!!!!

My sister can't get a man. I've overheard on the phone that she wants a rich one!!!! This is quite common, apparently. She's on welfare, by the way. I don't get involved in her hatreds. I'm freindly with several girls who work near to where I work - they're all white! When I decide to take one out on a date (if she agrees!) I'd love to be a fly on the wall when she phones one of her friends with: 'guess what my brothers' gone and done....'

This hatred is so common. No one wants to be alone, I guess. I think it's fear of being alone in later life that fuels the bitterness.
