That happened in the Canadian province of Alberta...which can be a bit country (not in a nice way). By all means go to anywhere in British Columbia...you won't be disappointed! The Kid Rasta 8)
Trust me bro I know this that why Vancouver is on the top of my list of best places I have ever been.
Thanks for posting this. It is very interesting and quite alarming... But PLEASE note that ONE CITY does not represent ALL OF CANADA!!!!!
This is what I thought to myself. At first, I wasn't going to reply to this thread since I had a feeling that this was true.
this happened to me just the other week, so pissed off, but not even that surprised to be honest. me and my friends were told 'not tonight'.. no explanation, just 'not tonight'. we were all obeying the dress code.
Indeed, ONE certain, particualr fiefdom DOES NOT represent the WHOLE of a country, or nationality, or people.... OpinionsCartoonStudios@yahoo.co.uk
This is great, Canada tries to paint itself as so progressive but people who have travelled there know that this happens in Toronto, Montreal, BC and Ottawa as well as Winnepeg and Calgary. I heard alot of nothing in these videos, are they going to stop the racism or just UN it??(ie talk about it while the discrimination goes on)
Perhaps we would be more progressive if we didn't rub shoulders with the US. Americans should work on discrimination problems in their own nation before they go criticizing other countries.
I've always said that The States is - by far - the WORST neighbour that ANY counttry could have.. And SO MANY yanks have the nerve to say that "All Canadians are 'Just Like Us'".... It's the CHIEF reason that THIS Chicagoan became an EXPATRIATE.... I've said enough on this subject.. OpinionsCartoonStudios@yahoo.co.uk
Where are you getting this from? Closet racism will always exhist. If you can't prove you, what can you do? But NO WAY will a white person be allowed to enter a club, while a minority who's wearing the exact same thing will be told he can't enter. Not in Ottawa,Tor, or Montreal. The rest I can't say because I've never been there. About half the people living in Toronto are minorities. It wouldn't be wise for someone to do that.
