Don't forget to factor in cost of data plans. Verizon did away with unlimited. I still have it grandfathered in but the new plans seem a bit high. :(

No one goes over unlimited unless they stream music all day, everyday, from Pandora or XM radio.

It doesn't matter if you don't have unlimited data. It's practically to impossible to go over.

The data plans are the same everywhere you go. $25-30/per month.

A friend just switched from Blackberry to Iphone with Verizon. This is what she copy/pasted that the order said when she tried to process online. They wouldn't let her keep her unlimited dataplan. They said it's a different animal with her having an IPhone now. She thought she would be grandfathered in.

This device requires selection of a $30.00, $50.00 or $80.00 per month data service and a messaging option to process this order. If you currently have certain existing data or messaging options (e.g. Customers with $29.99/Unlimited data plan or a bundled plan with data and messaging) you can still place your order at this time, but such features may drop off your plan. Upon receipt of device & activation you can have your existing options put back on your plan by calling customer service at 1-800-922-0204.

Like I said, it's practically impossible to go over 2GB ($30/mo) unless you're streaming music from Pandora and XM radio all day, everyday.

Otherwise, 2GB is more than suffice.

The only thing she should concern herself with is how many minutes she uses per month on the phone. That being said, the price plans with Verizon's minutes as well as all the other carriers is basically the exact same all across the board.

I have a Motorola Droid Pro and did an update to the phone and now I want to throw the dang thing out the window. Inserts words, won't leave the cursor where I put it, don't like the background. Ugh. :smt076

My son has a Samsung Fascinate which is pretty nice. Takes amazing pix.

I have a Nokia Touch Screen/Keyboard with two cameras on each side. (front and back) I love my cell phone. I had for over 2 years now, though I've had a previous one before. It was one of those flip up and down kind. I had that for 5 years until it broke.
