No, I wasn't hating the police just the method used to stop a guy. There are ways to handle a person. This is not a good one in this particular situation of unloading 8 to 10 shots. It seemed like the man was down some where between the 4th and 5th shot. Police have used different methods in our county to stop criminals. Maybe it is just That I am conditioned to a superb police department in my county as oppose to some of you.:smt102
8 to 10 bullets seems excessive. a couple of shots yes but seemed like he unloaded the clip. edit: If I were a cop, I would not have gotten so close without my gun drawn like the one who got lounged at. You see a man with an axe you get a good distance and use non lethal projectile shooting weapons at first and in abundance. If not, then you use a gun.
I live in a safe neighborhood in the suburbs. Thank you very much. Never called the cops for help again maybe because they know how to handle situations. keep Riding on Paniro's butt about what he assumes to be hating cops over wanting a non fatal arrest to happen.
don't misconstrue my want for there to be a less deadly answer to the solution. Not everyone of us has a police department that is not able to come up with a less deadly solution. This reminds of a case where a 6'3 dude was drunk and smashing windows and was very violent. The police department on campus shot the guy but didn't unload 8 to 10 shots. One shot and in the arm and the whole thing was over. NO one dead. And I even made a point that this female officer who was less than 5'4 had to defend herself. unloaded 8 to 10 shots, I don't know. That would have seemed excessive over here.
