i am american bm and i lost track of good friend who lives in the GTA.....

i thought about hiring a detective to find him since canada has different privacy laws than the US...

does anyone know of a good detective i can hire to find my friend?

Also, you can try the good old phone book: http://www.canada411.ca

These might be cheaper than a detective!
Also, I think that there might be some online ressources you might try which might be cheaper as well.

If you know any specifics about him, try entering those details into a Google search... you'd be amazed at what you can find online these days! (it's even scary sometimes!)

The GTA has like 7 million people. So good luck. Canada does not have messed up laws like the states, where being a bounty hunter, being a private investigator (basically stalking) is legal.

But if you hire a private invetigator from the states, and bring him up here, I don't see why he couldn't find this person.

I don't know what the laws are here in canada regarding private investigators. i know a guy who does that very thing, however. He lives in Brampton. i'll ask him next time he's online, and I'll see if he has any more resources than the ones that are already listed here. Good luck!

Whitby around 800K

Then you have Ajax and so on. You're looking at around 7. Educated guess.
