Lol...the English league sucks now with Chelsea

Chelsea only wins because of Roman Abramovich, all for money. Nobody in chelsea plays for chelsea, they play just cus Roman pays them 120'000Euro a week, that sucks :?
Manchester United also beat Chelsea 1 - 0, Manchester is better imo, they have one of the 2 best in the league, Wayne Rooney. Arsenal has the other, Thierry Henry.
Next year I think Manchester will win, very good defense players added to the team, and the attack is much better than chelsea already

I look forward to Barcelona v Chelsea next month, the defense has no chance vs Ronaldinho Gaucho

Iffy'swifey, is chelsea your team?? or were you just askin this question?

True that we have money, but it's how you spend that money which matters. Jose has picked a lot of good players and spent the money wisely.

But the key players are pre Abramovich - Terry has been there since a yoot and Lampard since the pre Abramovich Ranieri days. They're the spine of the team, and Terry in particular play from the heart. On day he'll be England captain, in fact I made that bet about 5 years ago, so soon I'll be coining it in!

Can't wait for the Barca game, might go and kick Ronaldinho in the shins first though!

Yes true. Terry and Lampard are not from Roman. Lampard is especially great, not greater than Ballack though :D .
I guess the answer is yes to chelsea is your team lol...

We tried to get tickets to see Chelsea x Bayern München last season and come to England but could not. Good thing as Chelsea won 4-2  But we won 3-2 in the 2nd game at the Olympiastadion, Ballack had no problems at home in Germany  but chelsea wins 6-5 in total to win on "aggregate"
Do you go to the Stamford Bridge?? Did you see the Bayern game last season? Will you go see vs Barcelona ? I havent been to a game in England, I want to, almost last year to Stamford Bridge like I said.

Bayern x AC Milan in the champions league next

How can you compare Ballack and Lampard? Lampard is miles ahead!

And no I didn't see the Bayern game, in fat I haven't been sine being pregnant - I didn't think it was wise! Now I can't go as I have a baby and don't want to leave her all day while I trot off to the Bridge. I used to go regularly though, one of my ex's had a season ticket so we'd go together, or I'd have his season ticket while he was away with the army.

Best game I ever saw Chelsea play was in the Champions League against Lazio. I went all by myself and still had a great time. The atmosphere was fantastic, and then after the game, Terry dragged Zola out of the crowd to greet the fans - I cried a river!

Here's me in the stadium with an Italian Policeman who insisted on shouting "Eh blondie!" at me during the game!

You should definately go to a game in England, but Chelsea prices are so expensive. My last ticket against Spurs cost me £55!

Are you going to the World Cup? I can't wait! Not going though, will be an armchair supporter!

Lol omg...Ballack owns Lampard, Beckham AND Gerrard  They all can attack as good as Ballack yes, no way can they tackle and defend as good though  He has Beckhams looks aswell, all the girls love Ballack here  Ballack basically IS the German national team..which sucks actually. 36 goals for Germany, I just looked up England goals - Lampard 10, Gerrard 6, Beckham 16 = 32. Ballack more than all 3 .
Also, Manchester will not f*ck off, STILL trying to buy him from Bayern

Sounds like a cool match u saw x Lazio. We saw Bayern x Inter in the San Siro in 2001, awesome stadium. You were at the Olympico?? :

Looks nice, very big, they all share in Italy though. (Lazio& Roma. AC&Inter etc.)

Yes I am going to all 3 of Germany's group matches with my dad and 2 brothers and we have tickets to the next round match that Germany would play in if they make it through (as if they wont ). Id like the final but tickets i am told are over 1000 Euro :? and the group games were 100 Euro also, too much :(

You never know, maybe Bayern will play Chelsea again this year, maybe we can make it this time

Yes, I was in the Stadio Olympico (sp?!) - amazing! The path to get there is all lit up and it's like going on a magical journey to get there. Despite their fans reps, they were all brilliant. We were all swapping shirts and things through the partition. Was the best game ever.

And re Ballacks goals, look how much longer he's been playing than Lampard! Lampard has only been an established England for 2 seasons, before that he was a bit part player. And Gerrard has had LOTS of injury problems, although I still think he is a bit overrated. And Ballack looks like a 70's porn star with his gold chain etc - hardly Becks !

You're a really lucky bastard going to the games, my friends are still waiting to find out whether they can go. Tickets for England fans are harder to get due to our history of hooliganism etc.

Who do you think will win it? What would be your dream final? For me I'd Iike an England Argentina final; but I really can't decide who'll win it, could be any team of about 5 or 6.

No way lol, Ballack is only 2 years older than Lampard and Gerrard, and 2 years young then Beckham. If Lampard only got in the team age 24, what does that make you think? hehehe

    Ballack stats :
1 world cup final. (none for FL,SG, DB)
2 champions league finals (1 for SG, DB)
1 champions league WIN. (Also for SG, DB)
6 League titles. (7 soon) (A few for DB for Manchester, 1 for FL)
2 German cup. (Some again for DB, any for SG and FL?)

More goals, won more things...what more must I say? 8)

    LMAO.

You cant beat the chain :)

I think Brasil will probably win. England can though, all good in all positions. Especially Rooney. Germany also, only because its in Germany though, another country and Germany would lose. Kahn, Lahm and Ballack run the Germany team. The great past with Klinsmann, Bierhöff, Schöll, Effenburg, Völler and Lothar Mattaius of the 1990's is over and retired. Only Kahn and Ballack left..no chance vs Brasil, England and Argentina with every player very good.

Yes..all English fans are a hooligan, all in Portugal 2004 on TV you saw English fans throwing things in street fighting  they will be ready.

Dream final Germany vs anybody good. Everybody thinks Germany is the main enemy of the country, so it does not matter lol

Lampard wasn't a regular til later on because England have a wealth of midfield talent and Germany, erm, don't! Also, England managers tend to get stuck in ruts and continue to play the same people, even if they're not the best - why else would they have played Heskey for as long as they did! So in short, there wasn't much competition for Ballack, hence him establishing himself earlier on in his career. But he is good, just not THAT good!

And re the England fans, the media always focus on them as they're an easy target. But Turkish fans were running about town with knives and they got much less press coverage than the England fists! Hooligans are a minority in any fan base, but it's newspaper headlines that papers want, so let's all pick on England shall we!

And I must say that I'm surprised Klinsman is managing your team. No management experience what-so-ever, but he slides straight in as the national team boss! Methinks his inexperience will show later on, but on the other hand, he may tell your boys a few of his tricks and you'll soon be winning penalties via nice dives!

    Nuff said!

Lol I was thinking when you would say about that

But...I dont think it matters if you lose a game to qualify vs England, THEN get to the world cup FINAL afterwards, beating one team 8-0 AND having top scorer (miroslav klöse) in the world cup with a bad team  (except Ballack and Kahn). We just play well in the important games

Klinsmann has no experience yes, but he is a world cup finalist twice, a world cup winner, and a european cup winner. So he knows what to do. We trust him, to Germany he is a hero. But for you, your manager is cheating to his wife with his secretary and last week is in Dubai saying he will quitt for England, so what manager has more trust ?

Lampard is your favourite player then???

p.s - You rock Iffy'swifey!! most women dont like soccer/football, i think its rocks that you do 8)

I've been biting my tongue about that...and 1966!

Please don't get me started on Sven! He's an idiot. The FA secretary (one of the women he had an affair with) was in Celebrity Big Brother last week, trying to get it on with Dennis Rodman! She's a slapper and Sven is a dirty old man. I don't like him or trust him. He puts too much faith in Beckham and would sell his own Grandmother if it would make him a profit. So although I think Diverman is managerially inexperienced, at least he is leading from the heart and has "hands on" experience which will help him with player management. Sven doesn't have that and he's tactically poor.

Then I wont mention world cup 1990, Germany beats england in semi final, and wins the tournament OR 1996, Germany again beats England IN England and wins the tournament

    Who will take over???

Klinsmann is not a diving player, great striker 8)

It remains to be seen. Iffy had you read the London Sunday Times on the 22 of January on the Serbian team harassing the black players of Britain?

Please don't mention Italia 90 or I shall cry like Gazza! Oh Gazza, what a player...shame he's a wife beating alcoholic though!

Have you ever met any of your footballing heroes? I've met Emanuel Petit, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Jimmy Floyed Hasselbaink (yum yum!) and Frank Lampard. And when I went to Nottingham a couple of years ago, the entire Norwich squad were staying in the same hotel so I had drinks with the players and manager - which was good fun!

And Soulthinker, no I didn't see the paper but it doesn't surprise me. The English black players were also racially taunted by Spanish fans quite recently. Even the Spanish manager told one of his players that he was better than "That black bastard" (meaning Henry, a French player), at least that's roughly what he said, maybe not word perfect though.

I've met Thomas Linke in a restaurant and seen Oliver Neuville in the city with his wife. But that is all, all the rest in the stadium. How/where did you meet the players IW ?

I am not saying the racism was not bad but England act like it is the only racism ever. The racism from Spain is every week at most matches in Italy. There is banners about Benito mussolini, Arkan, Adolf Hitler and others with the swaztika on it etc and the fans chant such songs aswell and monkey chant etc every week.

This happened only 1 week - 2 weeks ago.

This is 1 more good article on Italy.

Iffy'swifey, can you imagine being at Stamford Bridge and the guys next to you get out their big Swaztika banner
    Lol it doesnt happen.

That is hideous, I never knew it was so bad. It certainly wouldn't happen in the UK. How on earth can they get away with waving a Swastika? Surely they weren't there for the entire match?

I have sent those links to my man as I know he'd be interested. As a former footballer he encountered quite a lot of racism, but most of it was from other players, nit so much the supporters.

And regarding the players, I must admit that I met them by being a sad groupie and lurking around the exit after Chelsea v Preston North End in the FA Cup a few years ago. JFH scored his 50th goal for Chelsea that day so I got him to sign my ticket - Petit signed the back. Jimmy refused to sign my t-shirt (across my chest) but Franky and Eidur were right on my boobs!

Did you know that David Seaman is appearing in a show called "Dancing on Ice" here in the UK? It's FANTASTIC, a big old camp fest! I never thought I'd see safe hands dressed up in spandex and spinning about on an ice rink! Talking of Arsenal, did you hear about Sol Campbell going AWOL? It's now claimed that he's on leave for personal reasons, but gossip are spreading that he's gay - who says a man can't be into fashion and theatre without being a poof! Poor old Sol...

It's the Norwich Ipswich derby tomorrow, and as I live 5 minutes or so from Carrow Road, I'll be able to hear the boos from my settee!

They are left there in the stadium. What can the security do if 30'000+ fans are all chanting?? a lot of them bring the banners also.

Lol no I did not know that he is doing a show. Most players are a coach after playing

    What is AWOL??

I do not think I know ONE gay player lol  I dont think Cambell is too good anyway. Ferdinand and Terry are better as England players. Arsenal defense is one of the worst.

  18. Iffy'swifey

    Iffy'swifey New Member

If that happened in the UK, they'd have the police remove the racist straight away and they'd be charged. They even have microphones in the stand and notes in the programme advising the reports of any racism.

If you can catch Dancing on Ice somewhere...anywhere you should see it! It is brilliant, I just love it. My Saturday evenings now revolve around it - how sad! But I do have a 13 week old baby, so it's not as though I'd be out clubbing anyway!

AWOL mean absent without leave (predominately a forces term). But they are now saying he has contacted people and is OK. Still quite mysterious though. I don't think he is gay, but frankly I couldn't care less. I think Justin Fashanu was Britain's first out gay footballer, and he was Brita ins first million pound black player - so quite a trail blazer! Poor lad hanged himself in the end though.

Another win for the mighty blues today, bloody bad play of Robben though. If there's one thing I hate it's trying to get players sent off. Remember Rivaldo in the World Cup that time? The ball didn't even hit his face yet he acted like Mike Tyson had just lamped him one! The Italians are pretty bad for rolling about on the floor as if you;ve just mowed them down. And the Argies give it hard but can't take it!

It is not just one racist tho IW. It is half of the fans lol. Its the same as stopping the fans celebrating the goals, it is impossible. They are saying they will ban fans of the teams who make such chants etc untill they stop, this could work..sucks though.

Yes Chelsea x Liverpool. It was not on TV here though :( What did Robben do???
Bayern also wins. Bayern München 1 x 0 Bayer Leverkusen and of course Ballack is the scorer  Bayern has won the last 14 matches and has won every home game this season, bring on the champions league

I do not agree about Rivaldo though IW lol. I understand your opinion BUT, I think if Rivaldo had just let the ball touch him, the referee would have not seen and nothing happens. But the fact is the Turk should not be kicking the ball at people on purpose and it deserved a red card which he got, even though it needed Rivaldo to act like he did lol, he got what he deserved imo. I do not like the acters in general though. Tough is better. Roy Keane very tough.

Eurosport says Chelsea is building to the stadium?? this is true?
Did you know Bayern has a new stadium this season. The Allianz Arena, 69'000 people :)

It looks strange from outside, rocks inside though. No athletics track, much better imo.

I hope Chelsea wins x Barcelona so they meet Bayern again, and Ballack can steal the show again also

Wow, what a stadium...it looks like a giant squashed golf ball! They're always talking about Chelsea building a new stadium, and now Arsenal have their new one, no doubt Chelsea won't want to be out done! I'd be very sorry to see Stamford Bridge go though..

Robben was a complete arse. He was literally touched in the face by Liverpool's 'keeper and he went down like a sack of spuds. I know you're asking for trouble if you raise your arms towards another player, but I really hate play acting - be it Rivaldo or Robben...or Klinsman! It's a much more continental part of the game that should extinguished.

Re the racism, I really don't know how they'll stop it as they can't change the minds of half the stadium! But, if they were more like Chelsea and had microphones in the stands and a clever CCTV system, they could find out who said what then ban them - I'm sure the message would eventually get through and they'll save the racist chanting for another day! The only bad chanting I hear at Chelsea these days are anti IRA songs.

At least we both agree that we want Chelsea to win against Barca! The pitch at the Bridge is awful, but it could work in Chelsea's favour as it may stop Barca from passing the ball around as well as they do. But then again, Chelsea like to pass the ball about too, so...oh I don't know. Should be one hell of a match though.
