    Interesting Story
    [IMG]
A Cambridge University graduate has defended her sex predator husband who told his victim he was raping her because 'he didn't get sex from his wife'.
Adriana Ford-Thompson, a York University research and teaching fellow, described her 37-year-old husband Mark Thompson - branded a danger to women by the judge - as ‘gentle, kind and sensitive’.
The environmentalist said the jury had 'taken my husband away from me' by finding him guilty, before he was given life in jail for the kidnap and rape of a student and sex attacks on three other women.

I was surprised that such a smart educated woman would marry and then later defend someone like that

Wow what a comedown for her, a Cambridge grad. Nigga look like he high in both pics and a rapist at that. You don't even have to be handsome to get a top-shelf WW these days. SMH

Why in the world would you post that on here??? Not exactly the most positive representation of an interracial relationship between a BM & WW. An idiot woman supporting her rapist husband isn't what I'd call newsworthy either.

Reading this forum and many other forums and blogs have lead me to the conclusion that Black men are the only race of men that troll themselves.

Some of the threads on here :smt017

Not necessarily. Yeah, there are some folks who troll the board with negativity, but sometimes it's just human nature to get sucked into the tabloid type drama that passes for news these days. I guess it's easy to do when stories like this are in people's faces all the time. It's not limited by race or gender either. Based on his posting history, QB meant no harm.

I do agree that there are some real head-scratcher threads on here. Personally, I get tired of all the negativity and drama that's so popular around here these days. All the focus on the negative shit and little to none on anything positive takes away from the site. It's like people forget or don't care what this site is even about.

I did debate whether or not to post it here, but like another poster said we can't just have 100% positive one-sided news stories. This is the news section of the forum and there are lots of stories on here I don't like. I thought it would open an interesting debate about why such a smart woman with so much going for her would choose to stand by a man who had ruined his own life as well as his victims. If you look at my posting history, I tend to have quiet popular interesting threads. The fact that they are an IR couple doesn't even come up in the article, its more about the women's judgement.

I can see where Tamstrong is coming from with her thoughts on this thread, but I agree with you.

The news section should be unbiased and posting these types of threads, whilst on the surface may be negative toward this type of relationship, it's more about the fact that this WOMAN is defending her husband (skin color bears no relevance to the underlying issue of this news story) after he was convicted of raping other women.

She's not looking out for her own gender, which is a shame. I hope someday she wakes up and realizes the error of her ways. SMH.

To Tamstrong: Thanks for the comments.

To QuantamBlack: Didn't mean to call you a troll. This thought has been germinating in my mind and I posted in this thread when I could have posted in others. It was a general thought and I am not trying to single you out.

Everything doesn't have to be rainbows and lollipops. It's just that it seems like it is mostly the BM on here who are posting the "trollish" kind of the threads. Rarely one is started by a WW. It is as if BM have been beaten so thoroughly that we are scared of happiness and positivity, so let's look for something to tear us down before someone else does it.
