CONTROVERSIAL NEW BOOK LOOKS AT THE LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BUSH, REPUBLICANS AND BLACK AMERICA

Los Angeles, CA (BlackNews.com) - Political commentator and syndicated columnist Dr. Earl Ofari Hutchinson will release his latest book entitled The Emerging Black GOP Majority (Middle Passage Press, Los Angeles and New York) September 1, 2006.

Black votes put President Bush back in the White House in 2004. That was the greatest and even shocking untold story of campaign 2004. In the endless articles, commentaries, and post election assessments from the nation's top political analysts not one of them told why and how that happened. BlackNews.com columnist and political analyst Earl Ofari Hutchinson in his provocative and controversial new book The Emerging Black GOP Majority tells why and what this means for black Americans and how the GOP's political court of black voters will affect race and politics in America in this fall's election and the presidential election in 2008.

The Emerging Black GOP Majority answers these, and many other, controversial questions:

    * Does the Democrat party take African American voters for granted? And why?

    * Is the Republican Party's outreach effort to increase the numbers Blacks in the GOP working?

    * Can the new wave of high profile black GOP candidates such as Lynn Swann, Ken Blackwell and Michael Steel win their races in key states? And do they represent a real future for blacks in the GOP?

    * Will the love affair between the GOP and black religious leaders on opposition to abortion and gay rights continue?

    * Would blacks vote for Condoleezza Rice for president?

    * Did Bush and the GOP's effort to make amends to black America for Bush's Katrina bumble work?

    * Do Clarence Thomas and the black conservatives speak for a larger number of blacks than many think?

    * Why GOP conservative Presidents Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr. passionately embrace Martin Luther King, Jr.?

    * Has the GOP really ceased its past racist practice of pandering to bigots and ultra-conservatives?

Finally, The Emerging Black GOP Majority is a hard hitting take no political prisoners comprehensive dissect of the Republican Party's past, present and future efforts to break the Democratic Party's iron grip on the African-American vote. It presents an in-depth look at the party's successes and failures, and examines the pitfalls and possibilities that confront the GOP in attempting to court black voters.

It tells why Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, and Lynn Swann and the black evangelicals are not aberrations. It tells why the GOP wants and needs black voters to win and keep winning.

The book presents a fresh view of a crucial arena of American politics and race.

Currently available for sale online at www.blackgopbook.com, The Emerging Black GOP Majority will be available in stores nationwide beginning Friday, September 1, 2006 for $19.95 (US) or $23.95 (CAN). Or Order at toll free: 1-866-904-1-GOP (467)

Smells fishy to me. The actions of the GOP are suspect and so far they did nothing for Blacks in the last 42 years.
