Today while I was out running engines on an aircraft, I was listening to CNN. They were discussing Bush "conscience rule" for health care providers. Seems before he leaves office, he wants to leave as much legacy mess as possible.

Basicly, the broadening of the rule was meant to keep the morning after pill out of public use. The problem is, women are already being denied basic birth control prescriptions in many places due to pharmacy workers fundamentalist Christian beliefs. Now not only can a health care provider refuse to perform an abortion, they do not even have to advise you it is an option.

And it is being broadened to anything any health care provider finds morally wrong. What about health care providers who do not believe in blood transfusions? Or mental health care? Or any other number of issues?

Im sorry, but if you do not want to provide health care, you should find a new line of work. You shouldnt be allowed to dictate my health care due to your fundamentalist misconceptions.

Very true. Fortunately in my state (NJ) it's not an issue.
