Not a personal attack on you Tucker but as most members in here are American I would like their view - and everyone else's too please.

seems its personal, because you brought it to another forum index, when it was already in sport.

It is always a personal opinion on whether it is sexy and cool or cruel. so i dont see what you are gaining by trying to make it a personal fight.

My opinion is that it is sexy and cool sport, and as I already know others opinions of it I dont see your point.

My point is that as I said, I have noticed many Americans seem to much more into blood "sports" than here in the UK where many have been banned. So I wanted to get people's opinions, as many wouldn't have noticed it in the other forum as they don't all go in there. I only went for the first time a few weeks ago.

What I am gaining is wider spectrum of views, rather than just yours and silvercosma's.

well it would seem that you would have thought of your own ideas of blood sport instead of using a debate between others on another forum to vent your frustrations--seems you dont think others can have a point of view other than yours and you want to gain sympathy and support from others outside of the debate.

UK have for years loved bloodsport--the crusades were one, the slave trade another, dog fighting and fox hunting.

we dont have bullfighting in this country, never have, but it would be our right if we did, just like it is your right not to have it.

I wouldn't have even thought of it had you not mentioned it - I prefer to keep such vile thoughts out of my mind. But seeing as you mentioned I thought I'd seek a broader spectrum of opinion, particularly from Americans for the aforementioned reasons.

And please, don't compare bullfighting to slavery, that's pathetic. And some people in the UK have loved fox hunting etc, but it has now been quite rightly banned as it was only ever the minority who enjoyed killing for fun.

no, you were seeking sympathy, if others wanted to talk about bullfighting it was there in the room for the taking. I am not ashamed of my stance on it, thats why I posted it.

whining and trying to get people on your side is not going to change my mind, its just a sneaky underhanded maneauver to make a personal attack.

Europeans who mastered the slave trade shouldnt try to preach at others about blood sport, when you guys made a sport out of butchering people all over the world

What the fuck has slavery got to do with it? Oh I'm so sorry that people I never knew did that, and as such I'll say that every black person is right in whatever they say or do, and all us whitey's are terrible and could be killed at birth! Is that what you want to hear? Don't try and turn this from bullfighting to slavery! That's a really weak hand to play.

I am not after sympathy, as I told you, I doubt many people would have noticed it in the "movies" section, and I am genuinely interested in other people's opinions, particularly those from another country as I already know what most of the UK think of it. But out of interest, I've also posted it on a UK forum too to see what they all have to say.

you tried to make it person, I wasnt trying to turn it anyway, I was expressing my LOVE and PASSION for bullfighting and you tried to make it into a personal attack on my opinion.

I love bullfighting others such as yourself do not, so thats your opinion--we all have them.

I love to gore them and then slice them up, the bloodier the better and then grill them with a little butter sauce

Good for you Tucker, I suppose that makes you a big man eh? Killing a relatively defenseless animal for fun makes you a hero, well done.

Yes we all have different opinions, hence there being an open forum - you don't like mine and I don't care for yours. But don't go bringing slavery into it or my race.

You want to eat the meat but don't want to see how its slaughtered. As long as the meat still tastes good after all that playing around with it,I'm good.

dont go making it personal! if having a steak makes me a big man and enjoying the European Art of butchering Bulls like white Europeans butchered and sold africans and indians then sure, I agree.

i like to butcher animals and you people then, cool

I don't eat meat, but that's not why I oppose it. I can understand people killing purely for meat, but think it should be done quickly and humanely. But dragging out a death, humiliating an animal and basically torturing it I do agree with - they are two separate thing.

then dont participate in it, the sport is not for you. I love to eat meat and I love to hunt and do often. I love the blood sport of bullfighting as others love other kinds of blood sport.

then we can agree to disagree, you dont like it and I love it

Humans like blood and until we can do it to eachother without it having to be a war. Then someone/something is going to be at the other end of human bloodlust.

we do it to each other all the time, it was called slavery and we still do it, with human trafficking, with starving others, with mass genoicide like in Darfur, Rwanda, North Korea, Iraq, Israel

and we have done it throughout history and will continue to.

just dont participate in it if you dont like it

Some humans like blood, some don't. And I genuinely don't see how torturing an animal to death is fun. It is also human nature to feel compassion, so to watch something suffer for your own enjoyment also goes against human nature in way.

At least shooting game etc is quick, I don't like it, but I can see why it's done and I don't strongly oppose it.

Tucker, I do not like to butcher people. You are playing the race card here and it is not applicable or fair. Just because I'm white, you can't throw the slavery word at me.

i dont see much compassion, with condoning of violence because someone doesnt agree with anothers opinion. So if one can condone violence, then a little blood sport I believe is a good thing.

i would love to see more compassion but those who say they are compassion are here condoning hitting others

Humans have the ability to be cold and evil to good and compassionate. If these people don't release their bloodlust on something then they will most likely go after other humans.

I don't condone violence. As I already told you, but I won't repeat myself on that.

Playing the race card is really low, a very cheap shot.
