those sneaky Brits.....the producers of perhaps the most professional, highly-trained soldiers (pound for pound) in the modern world...bested by half-assed Libyan rebels

I wonder if this is a sign of things to come, as far as Western Allies involvement in the area.....

having the element of surprise and home territory goes a long way.

    Knowing is half the battle!

    somebody fucked up, lol

i (and possibly many others) didn't know that western allies were humping it in Libya, since the official word is no military involvement. Even the British are keeping their mouths closed about the presence of commandos directly inside the area. Those guys are probably in country marking shit up for future air strikes and raids.

we do know that if it had been a Navy SEAL....we would have boots on the ground already and would have already thought up a not-so-air tight reason to have the Navy Shove shells up Libya's ass.

    lol

remember the UAV strikes in Pakistan?

oh wait, they never happened :smt002

I'm interested to see how this pans out tho, and whether or not the Brits do anything to get their boys out. Reminds me of Bravo Two Zero, where a SAS team ran into some deep shit during Desert Storm. Like half of them got killed and the other ones got captured. Andy McNab, one of the operatives, talks about how he had to run from capture, all the way to the Syrian border. Crazy shit.

Everyone wants Gadhafi out of Libya anyway. It's only a matter of time before the West gets further involved. We just can't show our hand in the deal.
