Reported by The Sun on March 17, 2010. More than 770 objects were left inside patients in botched operations by Britain's National Health Service, The Sun reported. The blunders are among a long list of grave medical mistakes made by NHS staff in the past two years, including the case of a British man who was left infertile after surgeons removed part of the wrong testicle. The Sun exposed the dossier of errors following a Freedom of Information request. It revealed a shocking lack of care, ranging from patients being maimed after surgeons left instruments inside their bodies, to the sick being dumped in hospital bathrooms when wards were full. A total of 722 objects were left inside patients following operations in 2008 alone - including pliers, scalpels, coils and swabs. And 11 people were "seriously harmed" during NHS operations every day. Other mistakes included nurses and doctors wrongly administering drugs on a regular basis, giving patients the wrong blood type and failing to sterilize equipment. In the past five years, almost 12,200 patients had organs punctured during operations. Read more: The Sun

erm doctors the world over have been known to make mistakes, there human not robots but quoting the sun newspaper, really? now if you were quoting the guardian or the independant then it would be more credible mate the sun after all are the ones who went out and wrote as gospal all that shit about the hillsborough tragedy without any basis and are as yet to issue a proper apology
Yes. Look at surgical reports and you will see how many of each item they use and in the end it's someone's job nurse/asst. to account for all those. Yes, Dr's/hospitals the world over accidentally leave things inside people. Denz you do appear to have something against Brits. You might want to pick on another country for a minute to appear fair.
Personally just think he's suffering from Brit Envy, usually the people who trash thing's, people and places usually want the said thing, be the said person or live in the said place. At least we are honoured enough to have those things left in us by our Doctors for absolutely nothing at least we aren't paying for it with a whopping big bill after the hash. Either that or he just has a simple case of Trollingightus.
