    Wow, lol...

'Hell is about to burst forth onto our earth' : People panic after dozens of Waffle Houses shut thanks to Matthew as its infamous 'Index' reaches code RED

"Hurricane Matthew has been called a 'once-in-a-lifetime' storm in which evacuation is a matter of 'life or death'.

But it was only when Waffle House announced it was closing 25 locations that many Americans decided the storm must be really bad.

The beloved 24-hour restaurant chain is famous for staying open during natural disasters, so much so that even a 'Waffle House Index' was created.

FEMA unofficially uses the index, color-coded much like country's terrorism threat advisory scale, to gauge how severely a place was hit by a natural disaster."

I'm driving back home tomorrow night. But I'm taking I-75, not I-95, lol. Staying away from Matthew, just in case he does come back at the peninsula after spinning out to see.

I hope this teaches everyone how detrimental disaster preparedness is. I continue to pray for friends and family in Florida. This is horrible but hopefully we'll all be better for it.

No idea if anything got damaged or not. I won't head back till sometime tomorrow. There were long lines at most gas stations since wednesday, some even ran out of gas. I waited in line for gas at sams club and they ran out of premium right before I got to the pump, lol. It took me an hour just to find a spot that had gas. Later I found water and soup ect but didn't really need it because I made it to Tampa.
Where did you go to dodge Matthew? I -75 connects to Tampa.

It brought some flooding in Raleigh. As well as a loss of power.

The storm was all on the east coast of the state, along I-95. The rest of the state was just rainy and windy.
