I would like to express our appreciation for a beautiful woman, a lady of class, a great catch, a forum sister, a friend to everyone, a future girlfriend, a future wife and... a broad.

-------Can I have some help in saluting our beloved Bookie-----------
    -------Can we extol her virtues--------

:smt023 Bookie is indeed a treasure, and whomever sweeps her off her feet will be one lucky man. She brings her own unique charm to the forum.

You guys don't know who Bookworm REALLY is....so let me tell you.

About five years ago there was an international flight bound for South America. The woman we all know as " Bookie" was one of the passengers on that flight. Bookie had recently discovered a cure for ebola by rearranging the viruses' outer protein layer and applying hot sauce (she finds cures in her spare time). She was on her way to present said cure at a medical conference in Brazil. After this, her plans were wide open... some movies, restaurants, some archaeology, catching up on some reading. Basic r&r type shit.

In the seat next to Bookie was another American, a loud, rude man who was quite drunk and had been trying to get her number for the last two hours. Bookie would politely decline the man's offers of candlelight macaroni and cheese dinners, and with good humor she endured his clumsy attempts to seduce her. Bookie breathed a sigh of relief when the guy finally passed out in a drunken haze and began to rattle the cabin with his snoring. Bookie had just settled into her reading when a shot rang out in the enclosed space. She looked up to see three scruffy looking men with big guns. The armed men began shouting instructions to the passengers (who were now apparently hostages). Bookie quickly formed a plan in her head. Her drunken neighbor, now awake, began crying. Bookie slapped him. She needed him calm for the strategy she had devised. She quickly relayed her plan.

Two of the men went into the cockpit leaving one gunman in the cabin standing guard. Bookie made her move. She quickly reached down and tore a slit in her skirt to reveal a thigh. As she started to get up from her seat, the gunman approached her pointing his gun and shouting. Stepping into the aisle, Bookie removed her glasses and tossed her mane of hair. Temporarily blinded by pure sexiness, the gunman stopped in his tracks, gun lowered. Bookie quickly kicked him in the balls and delivered a judo chop to his temple (a trick she learned during Navy Seal training) quickly dropping him to the floor. She then headed for the cockpit as her nervous seat mate followed.

Bookie put her ear to the cockpit door and listened. She could determine several things from the muffled sounds behind the door. One of the pilots was tied up, the other was still flying the plane. The lead gunman seemed to speak to the other in a rare tribal dialect she hadn't heard in some time. He also had a slightly irregular heartbeat. "Good" thought Bookie, if the fight drags out he should tire quickly. As the other gunman paced the cockpit she listened to his footsteps and mentally measured them, hearing a slight drag of one foot. "Gunman two, left bum knee. Possibly due to reconstructive surgery" Bookie noted. A ninja heel kick to the side of his left knee should take him out quickly.

    Bookie was ready.

She nodded to her drunken seat mate poised on the opposite side of the door. He nodded back. He looked scared. Bookie slapped him. This was to ensure future calmness. She took a step back and kicked the door open. Everything became a blur of movement. A shot went off. Bookie delivered a left jab overhand right combo to the lead gunman knocking him out. She then turned to the second gunman who was beating up her partner. Bookie applied a rear naked choke, the same she had used to win her fourth MMA championship. Within seconds the gunman slipped into unconsciousness. Her partner thanked her for the save, but they quickly noticed that the errant gunshot had wounded the pilot. The bound copilot was out cold and not responding.

Falling back on some flight training she had received at Miramar Naval air station, Bookie quickly strapped herself into the captain's chair and began flying the plane. But there were two major problems, for one..during the cockpit struggle the Salvadoran Air force intercepted them and shot off both their wings. They were also out of fuel. Bookie had her work cut out for her.

Ten minutes later the Boeing 747 was landed safely. It was the first and only "no wings, no fuel" landing in aviation history. After it was all over, the local press tried to interview her, but she had vanished from the scene.

Bookie wasn't really interested in media attention or fanfare. She simply did what had to be done. There are those who may say that it didn't happen that way. Those that will say that Bookworm is just a legend.

To them I say, "you weren't there." But I was!!! I was also on that flight, and although I may have been under the influence I remember every detail like it was yesterday.

She rescued that plane full of passengers with skill and looked really good doing it.

So, I for one definitely appreciate Bookworm. There was a time when the term "bookworm" merely made one think of a shy, nerdy introverted person.

But thanks to our Bookworm, that term now conjures an image of pure sexiness. A perfect fusion of intellectualism and bootyliciousness. Scholarly...yet tasty.

I agree with everything people wrote here.
Bookie, you are a fabulous moderator, very fair, neutral and understanding. But I`ve also seen you once fighting - not for yourself, for some one else. It showed me your strong character.

Bookie- donĀ“t change anything, you are a great Mom and a winning personality!!:smt038
