    Happy New Year GZ!

But I still don't agree, and I've never worked for anyone who had a sliding pay scale that was dependent upon hair and/or eye color, many are overly conscious now due to discrimination law suits and they have a set scale that only increases based upon amount of time on the job, or years of experience in the field prior to working for them.

There will always be unfair practices because some folks are just stupid, but I don't think the majority of businesses are run with sliding pay scales based upon attractiveness. If they are, then I hope someone sues their ass off.

This is all completely your opinion, not fact. Or maybe the opinion of porn films.
Also, I'm not sure how it is in America but in England it's very different. The majority of men prefer brunettes. Look at the FHM top 10 hottest women. All but two are brunettes. And I also speak from experience, plenty of my friends are working in medicine and law at the moment and only one is blonde out of about 15.
I'm still now sure if you're talking about attractive people in the work place, or hair colour on women. As I said, I agree with you about attractive people seeming to have better jobs but I do not agree with blonde = more attractive at all and I'm glad I don't live in a place that bases the appeal of someone on their hair colour.

I'd love to take the time to cosign you Russia, cause I think you've been spot on throughout this thread, but I have to run out and pickup some blonde hair color so I can earn a decent wage.

Ruskie, when they say Blondes, I am sure they are implying attractive blondes. I am sure as heck they are not talking about a short, morbidly obese, hairy, butch voiced with short chubby finger & manly hand women. LoL

But that's not what they've been saying at all.
Anyway as I've said, I know a fair few people in medicine and law and all but one are brunette. Maybe England's different.
But I guess, like Espy said, if I move to the US I better get bleaching my hair and order my blue contacts.

Omg I seriously have to spell it out for you guys.
I think it can be assumed based on the salaries that these are entry level positions. Nothing that would require an advance degree. Then from the pay differences one could assume that the jobs paying more usually went to blondes and then to brunettes and red heads respectfully.
Do I make better sense now?

Ruskie, dont get it twisted, bleach blondes had their share of fun and some still gettin it but that does not mean attractive bruenttes dont get the piece of the pie.

Sophi Vergara was a blonde columbian and did not get a job until she dyed her hair jet black. PPl did not know what to make of her as blonde, they imagined her as bruentte and wanted to be that, she changed her hair color and since then she had nothing but success.
Anyhoo, enough of my dumb analysis.

It doesn't say that GZ. The 'study' only mentions blondes as a group, no other distinguishing factors.

I just reread this and found the two bolded portions interesting.

I'm not sure a study conducted by a company that profits from the sales of hair color is really reputable. For all we know they overbought blonde hair color and are trying to come up with a creative way to increase sales to get rid of their overstock. People will collect data and twist it in whatever way suits them. So like Russia pointed out, a reputable study would be a good place to start.

Not to mention, I'm sure Mr. Simon Comins, the director of toiletries at Superdrug has sufficient credentials to be conducting research and drawing conclusions. Next time I need financial advice I'm going to skip my attorneys and drive down to Walgreens and talk to the lady in cosmetics... just think of all the money I'll save.

So a chain that sells Lemsips, Lipgloss and few boxes of hair colour is the basis of this bullshit.
