...how do they expect him to pay money back while imprisoned?

...for whatever money it costs to incarcerate somebody, is that considered "income" for his next tax return?

    booo, hiss...

I'm mad.. I want another Blade movie!

    :x

last time i checked, snipes was somewhere "off the grid," filming his latest movie "Gallowalker"

not sure if we'll be seeing that, now that he's going to be in Chino getting fudgepacked by big bubba

I hope someone get to their senses and let him go so he can do some movies to pay this off like Willie Nelson did with he called the CD "The IRS Tapes".

    lol....

    you bet..

wesley has always been DOWN with interracial goodness...white, asian, didn't matter...

some sistahs hate that shit, to the bone...a successful cat like that, always co-starring with white women, having IR relationships off-screen..

look how they treat Taye Diggs

    !

    :p

I was outraged by the sentence. Three years is just too much for a misdemeanor. It almost never happens that people go to jail for a misdemeanor. I'm a lawyer so i know that as fact. I feel he had the sink thrown at him because he beat the felony rap so they did that for retribution.

Two things are certain in life: death and taxes. I think Blade thought he could escape death being a vampire but taxes still got to hime :)

Don't want to see him go in jail though. I bet a few inmates are lining up to test how tough he really is.

Snipes should be with pretty white honies instead of bulky imates. That's more his style. Go W!

Well you are obviously speaking of state misdemeanors.

Tommy Chong did time for misdemeanor drug paraphenellia (sp) charges. Most drug possession charges are misdemeanors. Even people who do time for DUI (which are misdemeanors in most states unless there are aggrivating circumstances).

Possession of child porn, another federal crime they love to prosecute and imprison for, is a misdemeanor.

I do not recall the exact statistics, but the feds love to lock people up on misdemeanor charges that are political.....such as tax protestors.

They don't put famous people like Snipes in Gen pop. and if you in Philly how do you know about Chino, in Cali? thats considered a gladiator school.
Everyone goes through Chino out here if your doing state time, they do a 90 day psych observation before shipping you out to another pen.

Hell yeah, it's cause he's a brotha!! Ya'll know that. He's always been a maverick in Hollywood. Rumor was he argued with producers about creative differences during the Blade movies. That's why that third one turned out with that F'd up cast it did. For most actors, speaking out is a death sentence on their career, but he never seemed to care. Always doing what he wanted.

I read an article on him in King magazine a few months back where it said he's damaged is career in Hollywood to the point where he's only going to be doing movies in the overseas market. Good for him when he gets out. I'm still gonna be a fan.

It's my job to know things like that

    :)

j/k.. i watch a ton of movies, and some of them reference Chino..

infact, I think (what a contradicting statement, I know  ) Val Kilmer makes one such reference, in the movie "Heat." It's where he did his hard time.

    As for general pop...

Snipes is a VERY well known and well referenced actor..

putting him in a cell with "Butcher Bob," can only lead to disaster.

Yeah your right he did say that in Heat, pretty sharp. Wesley's gonna be on the cell block with the Menendez bros.
