Normal sit down nice places I believe pay your workers well and stop the tips, but anyone working 40 hours should be able to live. That was my only point.

I guess that a southern thing. People in New York eat at Jay Z's joint.

I don't know if it was regional or not, I just know I am glad to not be a waitress there now and I rarely go to clubs so I have no idea if it is still that way.

Was that a jab my dude? lol
    I f so touche
When I use to go out like that we did a lot of diners or drive throughs. But even at the diners dudes didn't do that disrespectful bs. NYPD ain't no joke and holding cells in NYC are down right awful. You and 50 dudes in a small ass area with one toilet in the middle. Definitely no bueno

No jab homie, joke. Lol. But on the real, that shit was common here in my club days. About 200 mofos riding around waiting to eat at a waffle house that will seat about 40-50 people. It was common there though.

I bartended in college and made decent money for a student. I think a tip should be added to the meal at a decent place. Around here, many places add a tip if your party is 6 or more. In Europe people generally don't tip as the restuarant workers get a decent salary, the US is quite different, as servers get like 2 dollars and change an hour. People should tip and do it well if the servers makes and effort.

Black people tipped the same as white people, around a buck drink. I don't know if most of you realize this but restuarant work can be quite complex. Where I bartended, guests eating at tables got their drinks first. A server brings a big order, that takes time away that I could be dealing with bar customers. I only got 20% of their tips and had to keep my bar customers waiting when I did not have to share those tips. I know that the servers did not give me 20% all the time. Then I had to give my barback( person who ran stock got ice etc 20% of my total tips. I always did and also the hostess 10% if they sat dining customers at the bar because it equaled better tips for me.

I say pay a lving wage and get rid of tipping LOL
