You guys are right. I don't know what else to call it, if not brainwashing. It's just another example of the surreal cognitive dissonance when it comes to all things black or non-white:

And to be fair and honest its not most people who really feel like this the unfortunate thing I've come to realize is that apathetic compliance reigns supreme. Most people could care less about their fellow man. In theory we all like the idea of equality and compassion but in practice we'd rather buy more shit we don't need to impress people who don't really give a shit about us than actually do something to help anyone else.
The slightest inconvenience is way too high of a price to pay. My local post office has started picking up can foods and bringing them to food shelters all you have to do is just leave the cans in a bag outside your door. Guess how many of these upper middle class douchebags do it. Picking up a few cans of vegetables and fruit is too much of an effort especially when the new season of the bachelor is starting. So when it comes to something like racism its no wonder we see what we see. It takes a lot of energy to actively hate, most people just want to be free to goof off and not think about shit.
