Has anybody seen this recent press release? A lot of the people of this site live all over the world and often share their experiences - I thought this may interest some of you.

American Airlines said Monday that it plans to launch later this month a social networking site, BlackAtlas.com, aimed at African-Americans.

The site will feature discussion boards and blogs on which users can share pictures, video and travel stories and tips, along with rating and recommending businesses and travel destinations. BlackAtlas will also feature video blogs and commentaries on travel by author and film maker Nelson George.

It's ok, guess. I mean their videos don't seem much different from what's covered by Rick Steves. But I certainly would love to read some travel blogs from people who traveled to destinations that aren't consider popular.

I agree with above poster, plus it will be nice to read about how black americans and hopefully some interracial couples are treated in different countries.

Speaking of which, Istanbul is only a couple of weeks away for me.

 

It's a new site so I'm sure it will improve with feedback from users.
