Black Ty To Be New Mr. T?

TYRESE CLOSE TO MR. T ROLE IN 'A-TEAM' FILM: Actor-singer says he's all but booked to play B.A. Baracus in Singleton's update.

John Singleton has apparently decided that Tyrese Gibson will play BA Baracus in his forthcoming feature film update of the popular television series "The A Team." But contracts have yet to be signed and the deal is not yet finalized.

According to the Web site CHUD (Cinematic Happenings Under Development), the actor-singer confirmed that he has been offered the role made famous by Mr. T. But the script is still being worked on and taking the role would depend on scheduling.

As for the character's look, Black Ty said he wouldn't rule out sporting Mr. T's trademark mohawk, but he's hoping to bring BA into the 21st century, so don't expect a ton of bling around his neck.

The entertainer also plans to hit the weights hard in preparation for the role, stating the original character's imposing stature is a lot to live up to.”

 

tyrese might be nice to look at it, but he's a terrible actor.

 

The washing machine sex scene in FOUR BROTHERS was funny though

i mean it in love, lol. he's nice to look at...and when he was singing he wasn't so bad....i just don't think he's that great of an actor. :wink:

 

He's not much of an actor and Singleton is not much of a director which makes them a perfect fit. Seriously what is with Singleton wanting to have this guy in all of his films (including the "Powerman" movie which hopefully wil never be made)? Spike Lee at least had enough common sense to use Denze Washington.. Singleton had lots of actors to choose from and yet keeps going back to this guy.

And, really do we need to call him "Black Ty"? The obsession with how dark a black dude is in these threads is bordering on the absurd.

 

I won't call Ty wack as an actor, but there are better black male actors out there. He did his thang in Too Fast Too Furious though.

 

I think it depends on the part given to him. He's certainly not the most versatile actor out there. But I've seen worse.

I'm pretty sure Black Ty is Tyrese's alter ego when he raps.
And yeah, he sucks as an actor and he is always playing the same role. shyt is tired.

If anyone were to play BA Bacraus in this travesty of a movie, it SHOULD be Kimbo Slice. 8)

 

Babyboy probably never made it to the German movie theaters.Never heard of it and Too Fast,Too Furius is a nice movie for speed racing lovers but not my type of movie.Even if they had aworld-class actors in there I wouldnt like it
