I would have to say just in my observation in life and being bias that men have it harder but black men have it the worst of all demographics. I believe BM and WW can relate when it comes to discrimination just as much BW and BM or at least to some aspects and the stress level in life

to an extent, but white women never deal with racism....to me they are still promoted as the ideal.......that has never been a part of a bw's existence, in truth they have had problems with wm,ww, and bm. to me the only issue ww deal with that bw don't is when they date bm.

    Say what?

Are you really a black woman pretending to be a black man?

    Why are you really here?

Goodlove meant that BM and WW can relate to discrimination, the discrimination against WW being sexism and even then he qualified it as some aspects, racism certainly not being one of them. This point (whatever its strength) is made quite often given this is wwbm.com.

"WW being promoted as an ideal" (as if that's something that exists altogether outside of the operations of eurocentricty) and not facing racism has nothing to do with the point goodlove was trying to make.

I understand what Goodlove is saying. It's Terrastar that's making little sense to me. To say white women don't experience racism is crap. I agree that bw deal with more racism than ww, but to say ww don't deal with it at all is wrong.

My post wasn't to clear up a misunderstanding I perceived on your part, it was to show how terrorstars response of evoking Black women in comparison to White women was unnecessary given goodlove wasn't comparing racism.

Oh, okay...I gotcha. Brain fart moment, lol. The questionable thinking/motivation from some folks baffles me. I just don't get why they feel the need to drag that crap up in here.

Cause they are not Black Men or White Women, or they are BM and WW who have no interest in relationships. They are only concerned with how we affect their particular interest, which explains their perception of this forum, and why they bring up/respond to certain topics.

I always assumed BW had a higher suicde rate than white women because they could have to deal with both racism and sexism... But it's beyond me why WM, who have practically everything going for them in this world have the highest suicide rate!

A white woman who dates a black man can have to put up with racism as well...honeslty sometimes even *my* so called white friends make stupid racial jokes about my BF and it's annoying as hell..

The funny thing about it is, that they evidently don't comprehend that what we do really has no effect on them when it comes right down to it. No one here is taking or keeping anything from them. They need to get over themselves & mind their own damn business IMO.

No, they think our relationships are an issue on many levels from monoracial and cultural preservation, community building, sexual fetishism, self hate, hatred of Black women...etc....

Black males are conditioned from birth not to look weak, reach out for help, cry and ran out the household as soon as possible to survive on their own.

    It's tough.

that's true.. Men in general are told that they can't be emotional about things.
I think a lot of women under estimate how hard it is to be a man. especially a black man who is expected to be masculin even more so than white men

I have often wondered that as well. I think part of it is the fact that so many white men are recipients of preferential treatment throughout their lives. They have never had to deal with survival, struggle, losing and regaining their footing in life. Often hen something unfortunate befalls them, they are unprepared or unwilling to deal with it. For most Black men it's par for the course. Among affluent Black men, they weren't given anything, they generally struggle to get there. So, there's an inherent sense of never giving up and a tenacity to fight back and recover. Maybe that's too simplistic an assessment for something as complex as this issue but I think there is definitely some merit in this perspective.

I wonder how many of these WM who committed suicide were being treated for depression?

Yeah, I know what their crazy thoughts are, but they need to realize they're full of shit & tend to their own business. Like everyone else in life, they can't look to blame their lack of happiness or whatever it is they feel they're lacking on others. People are responsible for their own happiness & if they aren't happy it's on them; they get out of life what they put into it. Instead of focusing on tearing others down to build themselves up, people should work on becoming better individuals & they won't feel the need to hate on others who have what they wish they had for themselves.

Women don't have the social pressures that men do, period. If you think I'm wrong your fucking kidding yourself and don't understand human nature as much as you probably think. This isn't even an american thing, it's worldwide and will probably never change.

But hey, that's just my opinion.:!:

i'm a black man.....it's opinion.....and that's what i was talking about in another thread, ppl attack you just for making an opinion.

but rather then getting angry, i will explain:

my feeling is you rarely, if ever see a black face and rarely a black woman on television or in the media. my feeling is this is deterimental to society to have warped images of real life. while i did say white women were seen as the ideal, i don't see that as necesarily a good thing. because let's be honest they are not talking about these women's intelligence, but some superficial image of beauty, that's why someone with less sporting success like anna k gets more money than annika sorenstam......my point is that bw have those same issues as ww and many more. obviously all discrimination is bad, but my feeling is with bw, it reaches levels of self-hate, and due to jim crow and slavery, that has been built within black ppl based on their experiences.

and no this is not a shot at ir relationships., because relationships are based on attraction and chemistry and not exclusive to race, religion or gender.

and in the future, i hope we can start discussion with a i disagree with your point, i didn't understand your point could you explain it better or something along those lines. to me it's unproductive and leads to unnecessary conflict calling ppl trolls all the time. and hopefully it will save me from some negligible neg reps in the future:D
