Hello. Am from Russia too. Agree with you regarding the police.
Very glad to read your examples concerning British girls, Yes, not all Russians are racists. But I've got my examples, too. A Nigerian guy came to St-Petersburg for studies. Two weeks after he was stabbed at a supermarket. Spent several months at hospital, hardly stayed alive. Another guy, Nigerian too (my acquaintance's flatmate) went to a nearby shop to "put money" for his mobile. Two Russians brought him back home (it's also an example that not all Russians are the same) after they found him beaten and in blood. Another guy, from Ghana (he was my boyfriend that time), was attacked by a group of Russians. His head was wounded. Police hardly do something in such cases, er came and didn't do anything adquate. He felt consequences of the incident for a long time.

Nigerian embassy recommend their citizens avoiding trips to Russia. It a great shame for the country that had been fighting with fascism during the Second World War!!!!!!!!!! And now we've got our "homemade" racists as well as just idiots who judge people only on the basis of a skin colour!!!!! You were talking about other countries... but I live here, in Russia, and DO care about the situation in my country (though, if things turn worse, will be thinking about leaving Russia)!

Lance Mate a young student, a hope for our nation, and most importantly, a hope for his family has been stripped of his young life. What a loss for Zambia and what a painful death.

Most of our young Zambians in Russia continue facing racial attacks and this is not a new story. Though we continue benefiting from the Russian government in terms of scholarships and other economic benefits, I don't think it’s right for our people to be losing their lives in the manner Mate lost his.

I want to appeal to the Zambian and Russian governments to ensure that our young people studying in Russia are protected from racial violence. I would recommend a halt to the scholarship programme if the two governments cannot guarantee protection for our students studying in Russia.

I appreciate the efforts the Russian government is making to ensure that our young people get quality education but education can in no way be compared to the importance of human life.

 

If you want peace, happiness and prosperity, go to Russia!!

 

I've been to Russia a number of times and I've never, ever had any issues. NOT EVER. When someone travels anywhere in the world it would behoove them to be smart, always be alert of your surroundings, know your itinerary before you travel anywhere, ask questions even the uncomfortable ones. Being from NY I keep my 3rd eye open @ all times, do the same and enjoy the scenery...

My gay friends have had more trouble in Russia than my black friends.
The only one of my black friends that did get trouble was a black gay man. He absolutely hated his time there and said he wouldn't go back. He did unfortunately get racial abuse shouted at him but it was always along with homophobic comments, he is very effiminate.
But like I said, apart from that, nobody I know has had problems. I'm sorry for the people on this board who have had negative experiences, but I'm glad that the majority who went to Russia enjoyed it.

I stick to what I said before, if you don't like the idea of it, just don't go. Nobody is making you, why waste your time insulting a country you've never been to/never intend on going to?
If getting Eastern European fanny is all you're after, avoid Eastern Europe and just come to England. Pretty sure half of the population is Polish now anyway :roll:

I learn something everyday. I have not seen them going out with brothers in London.

 

The economy stupid! as they say, Poland economy is okay but many that have left would get paid less if they went back, they aren't going back...

To be fair I haven't seen any Polish women if they stand out and they don't...
