I was just exaggerating and expanding blacktiger's idea about our reputation as criminals being the basis of police shootings, to show how ridiculous it is.

Bottom line is: ONE PEOPLE, ONE LAW. Don't even THINK ABOUT punishing me or mine for anyone else's fuckin crime.

I'm glad that most of you don't agree that it's alright to kill (or even harass) black men based on what criminals do. I'm also surprised, however that so many didn't "get" my post.

Obviously the innocent should not be punished for the crimes of the guilty. Unfortunatley there are a sizable number of black people who can "understand" why black men are "born suspects" (eg chris rock, blacktiger), and they don't seem to think there's any danger in that.

 

To be a police officer in Canada you have to have some sort of post secondary education. Some have college diplomas but most have university degrees. i had an under grad degree at the time and my depatment paid for me to get my firsts Masters.

Yes Canadian police are a bit different. Yes there are bad cops. But in my personal expereince they were few and far between.
