I find this interesting that these 3 people who you would NEVER associate with black people can explain what black people think about Michael Jackson. I can't see these women walking down the streets of Compton, CA hanging out with the brothers. Fox News should have gotten someone black to explain to Bill O'Reilly why MOST blacks love Michael Jackson.

It's funny that a guy who was shocked to learn that black people are capable of conducting themselves in a civilized manner inside of a restaurant barely two years ago is suddenly an expert on what black en masse think.

Dumbest question I've heard all year.

 

For the same reason that rednecks enjoy huntin', 4-wheelin and muddin'.

For the same reason that Ethiopians love 'enjera'.

For the same reason Nigerians love fufu.

For the same reason Mexicans eat menudo on Sunday morning.

For the same reason I love chorizo, eggs, potatoes and El Yucatan habanero hot sauce.

For the same reason that Petty likes to lift weights.

For the same reason DH likes to paint.

For the same reason Bryant likes to play basketball.

For the same reason BMJ likes to show his intellect.

For the same reason Bookworm is into academic pursuits.

For the same reason Anglo-baby boomers love Elvis and think he's alive.

For the same reason black Gen Xers love Tupac and think he's alive.

We love MJ (most of us) because WE JUST DO.

It doesn't surprise me coming from such a comedic farce of a network. Last year I think they did a segment on "Why do whites like Obama?"

Fox network and Fox news = Right-winged ignorance. People actually watch Fox news still??? Really??? No, I admit I used to watch these shows a few years ago, especially O'Reilly's. I know. "What was I thinking?" But this is how Bill is. He's an ignorant white guy, who neither understands nor wishes to truly understand the black community, our culture or our way of thinking. So it doesn't surprise me that he simply cannot understand Michael Jackson's impact on American culture. But then, that's what they do at Fox. They do whatever is necessary to discount ANY accomplishment(s) that the black man ever makes in this country. So convenient so is why there are no blacks on those shows at all to defend us, much less any lead anchors anywhere to be seen.

And that's the way their white, conservative audience wants it. They don't want some legit brotha up there arguing for our points in order to make them understand us in any sense. They only want to hear Billy O or Sean Hannity's narrow viewpoint probably in order to justify their own prejudices. And then he has the never at the end to blame the media for the extra coverage given to M.J.. Please. The general public probably demanded it at some level. Lord knows the man has fans from one corner of the earth to the other.

 

why don't bill o'reilly stick to his "the left wing wacko liberals are conspiring to ruin america" schtick, instead going into an area he knows less about?

 

I still stand by what I said, will gladly bone the hell out of those two conservative soccer moms.
