It's very sad. I liked him as an actor. Don't think I ever saw him do stand-up though.

Regardless, it's a sad day.

All my favorite comedians are dying. First George Carlin, a god amongst men, and now Bernie Mac?!?!?!?

    I'm crushed.

I heard about it this morning. It was a shock that he died so soon. He was good in Bad Santa,The Ocean's 11 movies, and his tv series. Bernie Mac would be missed.

Same here. Last I heard his name was regarding the controversy that ensued because of his comedic style during a Barack Obama rally.

My first memory of Bernie Mac was seeing him perform during one of the early episodes of Russell Simmons' "Def Comedy Jams". I've enjoyed his comedy from that point forward. He'll certainly be missed.

It's ironic that he and Isaac Hayes both played roles in an upcoming movie. Both checked out much too soon.

Not that old? Man, I didn't even know he was 50! He looked so much younger than that.

    I'm so sad.
