I just watched DJ Akademiks' commentary on this Drake-The Weekend beef over Bella: I didn't realize or I've overlooked the fact that Drake has a notorious history of messing with other dude's exes. That would explain a lot. He didn't even mention how much Drake & Chris Brown have beefed over Rihanna.
Over the weekend she vehemently denied ever having hooked-up with Drake, stating that they're merely friends when someone on Twitter implied that Drake had "banged her".
If true then it's probably because of the way the person had put it using the word "banged". Some women will lie about hook ups if they get a feeling of being made out in the wrong way. But some people say he was talking about Kendall. Bella don't seem like she would have a reason to lie that she never hooked up with him, but Drake might have a reason to lie about sleeping with her if he wants to get under The Weeknd's skin.
Drake never suggested he slept with her. He used the name of her father as a sort of metaphor about how he too is surrounded by supermodels. It's actually a clever line that confused the media apparently.
