For Sho and that is why your started me thinking he'll win large.

There is going to be a push, lots of people are getting others signed up to vote and remember a large turnout usually (almost ALWAYS) means a Democratic victory.

Its been a large turnout already, record turnout in MANY States.

I think the media just wants to keep it close to keep it interesting, fuck that, what's interesting about McSlain he's almost toothless on the War now and if thought that was going to get him elected, if a time table is set, he's a cooked turkey.

Also the others in the race will likely take more away from him than Obama.

See its cool when a brotha can go overseas and people respect and love him and not HATE HIM like George W Bush!

Yea Germany got a female chancellor and color, sexuality, gender and what our politicians do in their private life doesnt really matter much to most of us as long as they do a good job as politicians.

And almost daily we had Obama on the cover of our local newspaper.Sometimes with a huge photo and long article while on other days without a pocture and just a short article.

Pardon my skepticism, but i wonder if many of these Europeans who take a kick out of pointing out how racist America is - and of course there's some truth to it - will gladly pour out 250,000 of their own citizens and vote for a black man in their country.

But that's just it, Europe doesn't claim to be the beacon of freedom and equality like the USA does.

Well when Angela Merkel was running for chancellor-ship there were hardly any media discussions about her gender.
The mayor of Berlin is homosexual and so is Guido Westerwelle, another politician. So what?
It's not a big deal here. That's just how it is.
As long as politicians do a great job it's fine.
You would see that if you spent some time here

My point was also not really race-related but more about the attitude in politics in general.
We cannot be too picky about minor important factors of a candidate like for example gender, race, religious belief or sexuality because how good of a politician one is does notdepend on any of those factors.
And since the country has it's problems like any nation in the world many of us(not all.there are always exceptions) just vote for whoever they think will do the best for the country.
    It's just a different mentality politics-wise.

I used to have the same skepticism about the ability of non-blacks to vote for a black person, but after pondering the idea Ive realized that europeans have a very different mind-set (for the most part). (Did you know that racist site is banned in germany? Ironic, considering their obsession with hitler and german ancestry.)

When I think about all the people from Europe I met when I lived in NYC, they always showed me much love. And I cant tell you how many times Europeans have asked me how do I live in such a racist country, telling me that europeans dont look at race the way americans do.

Also, I go to an "international" university and a huge percentage of the white european women date non-white guys. And they're always telling me if I like white women I should go to "this" or "that" country in europe because the women there love black men (especially american), but only a hand full of black men pass thru because of business or vacation.

I read in some of the German newspapers on Obama and most are positive. One photo I saw as Obama for Kanzer.

    Meaningless.

Western Europeans (Swedish, Norwegians, Germans, French, British) are generally more progressive in their racial views than Americans, but not a single one is going to cast a ballot in November.

Der Spiegel covers the Obama campaign extensively. It must be of much interest.

It may be meaningless in Nov, but hardly meaningless on a grander scale, umm were not alone in the world as some might make you believe.

Why can't we for ONCE in our Gen X lives be PROUD of our President?

Clinton was warmly welcomed all over Europe. Regan was an OLD ass man and sinile by the end of this 2nd term, Herbert Bush is an Elitest OIL MAN and his son is just a brain dead MORON.

What SHOULD concern you is many White Americans will stands up and say "See we elected a Black Man, America is no longer a rasict conutry"

We all know that statement would not only be NOT TRUE but TOTALLY FALSE!

Kid, it's premature to assume anything right now. Never underestimate the fear of white people in America.

    honestly tho..

who would have EVER thought a person of color, would be so close to occupying the role of Commander-in-Chief?

people of color have come a very long way..

ya'll should be proud..especially if you knew people who grew up during the "harder" years.

Look what would you have these people do, honestly. If white America elected a Black President I'd say their debt to me as an African-American was OVER. Hell the early enablers voted for him in the early primaries, even when most blacks were still all about Hillary. THANK YOU WHITE FOLKS!

I'm as Dem as they come but even I am tired of our bitching and whining. Maury was just on, all these black babies having babies with multiple fathers. are white people putting a gun to their heads? It's a joke. Cosby was the first to speak on it and he's the bad guy. He went from Dr Huxtable to Uncle Tom. Again not white people's fault. Don't hold your breath waiting for reparations either. Know this country and what it's about and get all you can out of it, end of story.

Obama if nothing else teaches us the old victimhood racial paradigm is OVER. If people shook off the ghetto mentality you'd have better results. Again not white people's fault.
