The country is really feelin' Barack Obama. I went to a couple of events. One was a televised debate between Barack and Hillary (Stevie Wonder was there). I was outside the theatre in Hollywood where this event took place however, CNN had a mega-screen TV system set up outside, so I saw the whole thing. A few hrs. ago (Sunday afternoon), I attended a rally at UCLA, which is a few miles from where I live. The speakers who were at the rally: Michelle Obama (Barack's wifey); Oprah Winfrey; Stevie Wonder (saw him again); the late president John F. Kennedy's daughter, Caroline; and Maria Shriver, the wife of the governor of Cali (Arnold Schwarzeneggar). Barack's wife and Oprah were on point. Barack has A LOT of support. He is unstoppable right now! I never would have thought I would see this happen in the USA.
Yeah, I saw the rally too before the big game. It went off smooth. Having Maria there for the Demo party was nice. She still looks damn good for her age! But don't sleep. Hillary still has a lead nationally. And she's a woman whose benefited from the women's movement as well as the wife of Billy boy. That's tough to beat, even for our man Barack. But Bill Maher said it best of Real Time this week, in that this country owes more to the black community in general than to the women's movement especially since white women have benefited the greatest from it.

Hellspawn is right, the nomination is still Hillary's to lose. Hillary is leading strongly amongst white blue collar workers, women and Latinos. With that powerful coalition, she'd be able to offset Obama's coalition of blacks and rich white liberals. Nonetheless, i hope i am eventually wrong. Initially, i didn't even believe Obama will get this far but who know maybe he'll pull a "New York Giants"   (i'm sure you understand those tears, guys).
Bill Maher's comments are suspect because all he thinks about is black coochie  all the time PLUS he'll be the first one after the Republicans to dog out Obama if he wins by some miracle :!:
lol... but he's saying some stuff there.. even though white women, are women..they're still WHITE.. our entire race was pissed on, for hundreds of years in amerika, just because our skin was too dark. white women still had their white men..who did we have? ..and who did our women have? not a d@mn thing but fields, chains, segregation, jim crow, MOVE house bombings, fire engine hoses, accepted violence towards blacks, and oppression... I know our country isn't the only one with such a screwed history, but we are talking about america afterall..and so is bill.
That's exactly why I feel BO won't win...at least not this time around anyway. And Bill is still suspect to me.
politics aside... I hope he would win to attain his place in African-American history.. it would be a bonus if he steered this country into a better direction... but..nonetheless... there isn't too much damage he could do, that would be worse than what that "educated, ivy league moron" in the Bush administration, already got us into... and people voted that mofo into office, twice... give Obama a chance even if he didn't win...we came such a long way, as a people... I was watching him last night..and he had such a mixed audience during one of his "pro-obama" rallies.. I was happy to see that...considering some 50 years ago..something like that would be absurd..and unheard of..
