Larry Fitzgerald's Ladyfriend Is Accusing Him of Being a Rather Violent Individual Posted Dec 31st 2008 11:05AM by Will Brinson (author feed) Filed under: AZ Cardinals, NFL Police Blotter, NFL Media Watch, NFL Rumors Larry Fitzgerald is, apparently, going to be under a little bit of scrutiny over the next few weeks. And I'm not just talking everyone finding out if the Cardinals are fo' real. No, see, Larry's ladyfriend has gotten a restraining order type of deal on him, following an alleged play-turned-serious fight.Angela Nazario claims she brought the couple's son to visit Larry at his Phoenix home last October when the former lovers began arguing. Nazario alleges in her legal papers filed in Arizona, Fitzgerald attempted to "diffuse the situation" by raising his fist and challenging her to a play fight. Nazario admits she responded by swinging at him and "may have hit his face." Fitzgerald then turned from playful to enraged, allegedly pushing Nazario down to her knees. She claims he "grabbed me by my hair with both hands on the back of my head very very hard and tossed me across the room." I'm not entirely sure how Arizona law works, but I find it pretty odd that the female's name in a domestic violence case was actually released. Almost as odd that this is surfacing when it happened "last October". And while it's not my place to decide on what may or may not have allegedly happened, it's quite interesting to note that Ms. Nazario started throwing punches first, before Fitzgerald actually got violent. Not saying it excuses anything, but it certainly changes the scope of what happened. Odds are that this, while potentially disruptive, doesn't derail the Cardinals anymore than their already putrid December.
Wow, that's some serious shit. But on the low, Larry is a real playa. His baby moms is pretty hot, and she's older than him. He must be spittin game.
Fitzgerald is always creating some sort of drama on his own. He doesn't need a baby mama to add to it.
This is the first I have heard of about Fitzgerald being involved in something like that. He usually has a low profile, and lets his playing do all the talking. Best receiver in the game today, in my view.
I like Larry Fitzgerald, too. He was awesome at Pitt and he seemed to have decent character. That being said he's a friggin idiot for A) not wearing protection to avoid any unwanted pregnancies and B) (allegedly) perpetrating violence on a female, especially the mother of his child. Athletes kill me every time with this shit. It's not rocket science, if you're going to have casual sex with various women, at least wrap it up to avoid any life-long drama.
It's a mystery why some guys NEVER, EVER figure this out. When I was in my 20s, getting a girl pregnant (or catching something) scared the living sh1t out of me. I had a lot of fun with a number of girls from college days all the way till I was about 30 and never got anyone pregnant and (THANK GOD) never caught anything. Instead of drama, I'm still friends with some of them.
The story during Super Bowl week was about Larry and his dad, who is a sportswriter in Minnesota. The story goes that Larry Jr. was estranged from his mother when she passed away six years ago. Several stories alluded that the tiff was over a girlfriend, or quote "girl that Larry was dating.". The trail though didn't elaborate, but I'm sure we can all figure it out.
