Yeah, it was mentioned somewhere on here.

Funny thing is, Japan does the same thing, though, kinda, when it comes to anime. Characters with "White/Western" features. Characters with blonde hair, blue eyes n' shit. Characters are pretty much white people with Japanese names. :smt042 But they're the original creators of their product, so they can do whatever. I also hear that plastic surgery is big in Japan. Mufuckas getting cheeks done, eyes made to look bigger, grills fixed(although, that's understandable), and other shit. Like Cedric the Entertainer said, "people gettin' they eyebrows rotated n' shit." It's ridiculous. But meh, I just went off on some whole differnt thing.

Like BA said its what people do culturally. Youtube Indian Superman, its funny as hell but all the same elements are there.. We shape heroes to look like us. I could care less its a movie. Truthfully I don't understand why minorites just don't make their own movies with the characters they want. They had no problem keeping Lui Kang Asian and it did well or Blade black and that did well so there are no more excuses.

I read a number of reviews saying that this movie is worse than Battlefield Earth lol.

No surprise really since M Night Shymalamadingdong directed it.

I caught the midnight showing on wednesday. It did suck. The audience actually booed. I haven't heard an audience boo a movie in a long time.

Good thing I didn't pay for the ticket.

One of the people I went with is a fan of the cartoon. He was bitching the whole time about the inaccuracies, mispronounced names, the way they moved when they bent elements, etc.

I never watched the cartoon so I couldn't compare it to that, so I just sat there and marveled at the bad acting.

I never watched the cartoon, but i'm a gamer and was looking to buy Avatar for the Wii, when it first hit the scene...

it looked like a cool game, so I started liking the brand from there..

but the movie's getting canned 3ways from Sunday, so I dunno

    You should've known better.

Why didn't you just come over instead of seeing that? I could have provided a much more entertaining experience.

I've always thought that Shyamalan is a grossly overrated hack who's coasting off of the success of The Sixth Sense, so it's good to see him getting ripped to shreds. Hopefully, this is the end of him.
