Surprised no one has posted this.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS/AP) Black shoppers in a Wal-Mart in southern New Jersey were asked a favor from a male voice on an intercom Sunday night.
"Attention Wal-Mart customers: All black people leave the store now," the voice calmly announced to the entire store.

Officials of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. are reviewing security tapes trying to determine who used the store's public-address system to make the offensive announcement.

Company spokeswoman Ashley Hardie says the incident was "unacceptable."

Witnesses told the Courier-Post newspaper that customers and store employees looked stunned. Management later apologized.

Washington Township police and the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office also are investigating.

I saw it on the news yesterday. Some people are just completely inappropriate idiots.

I saw this Wednesday and the only reason I didn't flip out was because it was done by some idiot kid. It wasn't the statement of Walmart corp. Just a harmless prank.

Local news here said he is a teen, and NOT a Wal-Mart employee. He picked up a phone and paged the customers with the racial comment. He is being chared with a misdemeanor.

Is it wrong that my first thought was "maybe it was a Good Samaritan Black person, trying to do all the other Black people a favor by getting them out of Walmart?"

it really is a catch 22...the poor shop there...work there...all while making sam walton rich...when i say poor that does not just mean black people that means all people that live in the usa that sit below the middle class...

lippy does not shop at walmart or sam's club...dare i say that you can shop at any grocery store...join their in house discount club card...also sign up on line for electronic coupons, clip coupons and save just as much if not more than shopping at walmart

Good idea but people are too lazy to do that. The best time in this country's history economically was right after the second world war where we were all about nationalism. We might need to go back to that.

especially when they have 50 lines available for 1000 customers but only 3 are open at any given time

A lifetime ban from every Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and every other walton property in the world would be appropriate.
