Joba’s mom was busted Saturday night in her apartment, which is cluttered with a shrine devoted to her son, after allegedly selling a 1-gram plastic baggie containing methamphetamine for $110 on February 11. The 44-year-old Standley was arrested after tests confirmed that the substance was 0.6 grams of the illegal drug. Her bond was set at $5,000 yesterday at a court hearing, as she remains in jail in Lincoln. She allegedly stated that she couldn't afford a lawyer and was assigned a public defender on the case. Chamberlain’s mother faces 1 to 50 years in jail on the charge. Her and her son haven’t had a good relationship through the years due to her issues, which include various drugs and depression problems. Standley and Joba’s father,Harlan Chamberlain, split up when Joba was a baby, blaming her drug addiction, and the dad raised him as a single parent. "No, I wasn't the greatest mother," Standley admitted in September. "But in the bad choices I made, I, in turn, made good choices. And one was for (him) to be with (his) dad a lot." Among some of the things found in her apartment was a yellow T-shirt tacked to the wall that Joba signed for her a few years ago, saying, "I LOVE you! Your son! Joba Chamberlain."
