I'm pissed off that she changed her stance.....

...she was 100% correct and should not have changed her stance. And only a weak left brained idiot would get up in arms because she didn't say "some". He was 100% correct, not matter how you slice it.

I wish she had come out stronger.

She changed it because people took it as would could have amounted to "She called me a nigger"...

..but she was 100% correct in her condemnation of hip hop/rap...and I love hip hop, but I also know what it is and what it has become.

Call my crazy but I'm still just trying to figure out why people care about her opinion on hip hop...

Dude you're acting like a simp. Blaming hip hop for mysogny is like media for making people fat. Glamourizing something doesn't mean you have to par take in it and real talk like I said before ww do far more damage through pop music when they dress scantly clad and almost all of their subject matter is more about sex than love these days. When little white girls were wearing tube tops and makeup they weren't listening to 50 cent they were emulating Britney Spears.
And to be fair to artists life very rarely imitates art it's usually the other way around.

Where did I said hip hop was to blame for misogyny.....more to point, where did Ashley Judd say it?

The rest of what you wrote is just silly and random man. Again I put you in that group that defends hip hop at all costs, not matter how vile and disgusting it becomes.

In the beginning of the video. She said it supports it and you said she should have stuck with what she said.

    Anymore questions?

so "suports" translats into "the cause of"

...hip hop does indeed, support everything she spoke about.....lol at you saying that Britney Spears does more harm than the violence that permeates through the black community riding on the coat tales of hip hop.

    That's just silly man.

In that interview she focused on mysogny that's where I was going with Britney Spears example and the violence that takes place in most poor areas of the world have way more to do with drugs, guns, and human trafficking. All hip hop does is describe it. Now if you wanted to argue that it contributes to the dumbing down of society as a whole then I'd agree with you completely but saying violence is caused by hip hop. Doubtful

You can't do surgery with a butcher knife, which is what Ashley seemed to be doing with her original statement, even though I understood where she was coming from. Lupe Fiasco has said many of the same things that Ashley said, but because Ashley isn't involved in the lifestyle or culture people take it more personal. It's hard to have a constructive dialogue with someone if they feel offended because you're painting with a broad stroke and don't acknowledge the exceptions at all. That was her only fault.

As a lifetime rap fan, I don't support or condone misogyny against hoes. lol

This is really what caused an uproar, not because what she said was wrong...but because she ain't from hip hop.

...you know if they will crush Cosby, the will crush with white chick that is only known be her last name.

Ashley Judd is a C-list actress at best. Who the hell cares what she has to say about hip hop?

Anyone who gets bothered by this is as ignorant as she is.
