PC cause i choose to and i like em. Never had a reason to switch and probably never will. Also I'm not a sucker for marketing.

I'm not hating on mac users as you all have a right to use whatever you may like, but i can't stand the people that don't even realize when they are being brainwashed. Like this instance, and I quote:

"I need a new computer, but i gotta save up two grand for a Macbook." [me]"Why do you have to get a mac?" "Bro I'm a musician, Mac's are the only computer's that can get the software and programs i need to edit my music."[me] "You have to?" "Yeah bro, PCs don't do that kind of stuff." [me] Ok, let me get this straight, so you've never had a computer period but you KNOW that PCs can't do what you need them to do with your music? They are physically INCAPABLE of having music editing software and the hardware necessary to achieve your needs? [him] "yeah".[me] Jesus Christ.... Go drink some more of that Apple cool-aid dude.

Oh, and they are more "stable" too, correct? [him]Yeah, man, seriously, they NEVER crash. [me] Well all I know is my friend dropped 22 large on a macbook pro black and in 4 months some issue occurred and she had to bring it to the apple store. They of course say, "hey dude, we can totally fix this for you. We just gotta ship it to china or somewhere." It came back 2 weeks later and as far as I know, she hasn't had an issue in the last 2 or 3 years. Except for that one time, at band camp...

Same type of issue occurred with my HP laptop after 3 years and after running a diagnostic on my own i realized my hard drive was shitting the bed. Took a 20 minute trip over to best-buy and got a new one, a 7200rpm actually, better than the stock 5400 one that was dying. Swapped it out in another 20 minutes and my laptop was good as new. Got another 3 years out of it.

Also, ask any one of those people that had Iphone 3gs' if they were upset with the "issues" that arose when the 4g came out. Apple's got their customers brainwashed so bad most don't realized they intentionally make each Iphone obsolete whenever they make a new one, so if your a techy dork like I am you end up back in line at the apple store for the 3 model, the 3gs model, and then the 4 (which has an antenna issue but as Steve Jobs puts it, "your holding your phone all wrong. If you hold it correctly you won't have any issues") Sorry Steve, didn't realize there was a wrong way to hold a cellphone.

    I'm done....:smt019

I own both. I have a pc laptop and mac home computer and I totally agree with your bro about the music thing. Artistic software for editing movies creating and editing music come standard with a mac. There's a reason why its extremely popular with most musicians. The musicians who normally use a pc are usually too afraid to use new technology. The mac is way more user friendly and has less issues with viruses and crashing but that has to with most viruses being designed for windows os.

I do agree with you about the iphone though. I also hated the fucking ipad. No flash and it didn't have leaopard os, you were forced to deal with an ipod touch os and this was suppose to rival netbooks? They are marketing geniuses because apparently the masses don't mind buying a product that's essentially a huge ipod touch for double the price of what a netbook is.

I'm a Pc, for the price of an Apple Macintosh laptop I can buy two bloody good pc's.
It's about value for money and with Apples strict control on pricing you can never get a good deal.

    I love my iphone...

I bought a iPad and sold it a month later. Then 6 months later was given one by my Job and I sold that too. The iPad simply has too many important features missing to justify its existence other than a rich man's coffee table toy/show piece.

I'm a PC dude... I have an 18.5in monitor, 2.8Ghz, 8GB of virtual memory, and a terabyte hard drive. I do a lot of Photoshop, and InDesign ,and I never have a problem.

The biggest thing is that if my laptop break I can crack that bad boy open, fix it and go about my business.

My last laptop I had for 5 years, never had an issue and I tread it like shit. I don't think I'll buy a MACBOOK.

I bought my son a small one and I hate that damn thing. ha!

    PC.

    Cute commercial spoof, though.

I've always owned PCs, but I have used Macs for a variety of reasons, and I cannot stand them. User friendly my behind- maybe it was just my personal experience, but I don't find them easy to use. I'm also frustrated by their pricing.

PC girl here. :) Some Macs look pretty sweet, though, I'd never buy one.

I'm a cheapskate for making rational decisions???

    Check the info:
First link to apple's macbook pro purchase page. I don't like no skimpy ass 13inch screens so i'm going for the 17inch 2.53 ghz piece of ass...
    http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?mco=MTM3NjU5MzU
I'm droppin over two grand ($2,299.00 to be exact, and that's on a tax free holiday):smt078

Now please compare that to this sweet little beauty at microcenter:
    http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0347129
(note, at some point this link will expire as it is a sale piece. Of course, MacBooks NEVER go on sale...)

This beautiful piece of hardware has a massive 18.4 inch display to start. In every other catagory of specifications, it EXCEEDS the hardware your Macbook Pro will come with. These factors MATTER, particularly to a techy like myself.
    1. Same make processor (Intel) but the higher level of the core series, an I-7 740QM vs. the stock Intel I-5 on the Macbook
    2. Same level ram at 4gb but it is specified as a 7200rpm, not sure what speed is stock on a Macbook
    3. Same size hard drive (500gb)
    4. Nvidia G-Force GTX 460M BLOWS AWAY that stock card on the Macbook (Nvidia G-Force GT 330M). On most computers, this card would be a $200-$400 markup in price as an upgrade. This comp, with this card, is therefore marketed specifically to gamers, as it has the capacity to run any type of graphical needs on the current market. (In translation: Whatever your Macbook can do, THIS can do better....)
    5. Base price, $1,599.00 Do The Math
    6. Anything goes wrong with it, I CAN FIX IT MYSELF! Value: Priceless

So I'm cheap cause i can get a better product that I can repair on my own for far less money. I call that Intelligence.

Ok Tech geek lol for the average consumer I think a mac is better. Just ofr the fact it rarely crashes or gets viruses. That alone makes it worth it to me.
