I speaking more culturally speaking not saying women are the ones who say it but they enforce it as we get older. All that macho nothing can hurt me and if it does I will ignore the pain bs is further supported by the fact those are the traits women are attracted to. In fact if men are sensitive and open women commonly say "damn why is he acting like he's on his period". So not only do women support it they reward macho behavior that later makes them miserable.

Pffftttttt if you look at all the loved up status updates on FB, as well as all the happy couple pica you'd see that it's the opposite :p

I love men. I love their strength when I need it, their tenderness, their smarts, their humour, their ability to give and to love without question.

Lol, but consider the source of the video. TDK got it from LuvAttractiveWomen, when he (LAW) posted it for self-pity in the 'BM HITS WW' thread.

Pretty much. Served first, gets the head seat at the table, has his dish placed in front of him, then picked up...all traditional things women are raised outright to do, if not outright, at least subliminally.

You continue to be the Forum's wisest poster! :smt023

I actually agree with this one.

Point taken and agreed with. It's a damn shame that vulnerability in men isn't recognised as a good thing by some women. Me? I think that a man who is able to express himself completely and allow that soft side come out is beautiful and sexy as all get out

Self pity? Really? Because I posted it to explain the issue of the disposable male. which became a topic in the thread. If you are looking for posts on self-pity, please go to Bug's post on her entire life in this thread.

In regards to "women and children" eating first, I believe she was speaking in regards to disasters or when the military or similar are providing support.

Actually I did want to hear what they had to say. Tarshi did bring up a good point that a lot or the emotionally distant shit taught to young men are by their fathers.

Hmmm... So, ummmm... with the influx of single mothers... who has been teaching it for the past 20 years?

Did this happen before or after the kids? Before or after you were married to a wanker. Because I think many women appreciate it after they've been through the ringer but don't notice it when it counts the most. When they're young dealing with other young men. To be real it just occurred to me that women teach us how they want to be treated and if so many didn't give attention to assholes maybe less men would be assholes.

And this is why 'good' men should be appreciated. Rants about how shitty ALL men are is unproductive and really divisive. Just like there are shitty women out there, there are also shitty men. I took this thread to be about the man who treats his woman like a queen, who goes to work and comes home and still takes care of business. Helps out with the kids, does some of the housework, and at the end of the day rubs his girls feet. Those guys do not need to be judged alongside your own poor dating choices, just as women wouldn't appreciate any man saying all women are gold diggers or whores because the last girl I dated or currently am dating one.

A healthy relationship is one where respect, appreciation and admiration are mutually exchanged. And yeah, generally speaking, women have become so god fucking bitter that even the thought of showing a man appreciation is seen as a bad thing.

You have hollywood to blame for that my friend. Hollywood seems to raise a lot of today's young men and women. It trains young men and women to have unreal expectations and or to go after the wrong person.

She should stick to doing chores as oppose to using the thread to bitch about the lifestyle she created for herself. Feel free to quote me if you like.

You can't talk about appreciating a man in this forum.
