An Apple employee was found dead in a conference room at the company’s Cupertino headquarters this morning, authorities say. The death of the male employee was an “isolated incident,” Sgt. Andrea Urena of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office tells The Mercury News. She added that no one else on the company’s campus or in the public is at risk and no suspects are being sought. The discovery of the body followed a 911 call at about 8:35 AM reporting a male with a head wound at the campus. Archived audio from sheriff’s dispatch reported that a male was bleeding from the head, “possibly had a gun” and was being escorted by security personnel. A few minutes later, dispatchers reported that “a body is in one of the conference rooms with a gun.” The Mercury News reports that the campus is open and there are no obvious signs of disruption. A few scattered sheriff’s vehicles remained at the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
