Just wondering does anyone have any special talents? Are you gifted at anything?

see that's a talent. I wish I could do that. I go to bed at 3am and don't get up till 12pm. it sucks. I have always been an early riser but this job is something else.

If you can call my brain being a sponge for useless information a talent, then yes, I have a talent. I can't remember what I ate for dinner last night, but I can remember who directed an obscure movie 20 years ago. Who knows how the brain works? :smt102

I also taught myself how to play the piano.

I agree. That's quite a talent. I can't wake up on my own before 10 a.m. on most days. I need an alarm clock and even then....

I'm the same way. The alarm will go off at 9:00 but I sleep right throw it sometimes. Dex on the other hand can go to bed at 5 and wake up with the alarm at 9.

I used to play piano, and also I have an artistic talent, used to draw well. But I never went to school for it, and now I don't draw anymore.:( Grandma says it's a shame.

Did you teach yourself to play by ear, because that's what I want to do.

Ummmmmm.....my talents? Used to draw, used to play the drums, used to play the trombone.

I used to play drums, too. As far as the piano goes, I taught myself by ear mostly, though I could read music (used to play the flute) and knew where "C" was on the keyboard and went from there.

Maybe you should go back to school for it Mosk. My mom used to draw when she was little, then 20 something years went by without her drawing at all, and now she's an art student at my university. She's worked a lot of miserable jobs in her life, but now she's gone back to her roots, and doing something with the art talent that she's always had.;)

    That is a shame.

Too many talents are wasted doing 9-5 jobs that never utilize them.

Nothing is wrong with having a job but its unfortunate many people never tap into their creativity and make a career out of their passion.

I agree. Though it's hard to make a living being an artist. But, Mosk, you can always take a class at a community college and get back into it. Work on art when you get home from work, things like that.

That's what I'm doing right now with my screenwriting. I have to work FT, so I do it all on off-hours until something comes of it (which hopefully will be soon).

Thanks. You have to be that way, if you want to get anywhere in Hollywood. :D
