Congrats to Mackie! And he's a good actor too, so the sequel talk has me on the edge of my seat. And yes, as ridiculous as it was, I went to see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as well.

Keys are "In Talks". Hasn't got it yet. Also in an interview around the time Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter came out, he also expressed interest in playing The Black Panther if Marvel actually does decide to finally do that movie as well. He'll be great as either character if he does get one of the roles.

I think that is pretty spot on casting. I hope they go Classic Marvel instead of Ultimate Marvel for their take on the Character. Because Classic Falcon actually has powers and Ultimate Falcon is just a dude with mechanical wings.

    --Slight Spoiler--

Since the movie is subtitled Winter Soldier. Comics fans know that means Bucky is coming back from the 'grave'. So it will be cool to have the juxtaposition of Caps old partner with his new partner.

Good for him. Seems like lots of movies based on comic characters the last few years. :D

Yeah, fingers crossed. I know the HP are reporting it as green light, but there is always a possibility of it not being him.

PS: Many are taking exception to the HP's use of "sidekick", noting The Falcon is not a side-kick character.

He's a damn good actor. He was great in The Hurt Locker

Guess that also explains why they have the Falcon as part of the line up for the new Avengers Assemble animated series featuring the movie cast and more than likely we can expect he'll also be made a member of the Avengers when that sequel comes around as well.

Marvel is taking there sweet time. When it comes to making movies for black marvel characters. They have been talking about Luke Cage & Black panther forever now. If those two marvel characters was white. They would have had three movies by now. And they probably would have remakes launched by now.

Nobody knows who the flip Luke Cage or Black Panther are.....the movies would be a bomb, so its probably prudent of the to take some time to think if they would invest in it...its all about the green bottom line.

Hmmmm...No one outside of die hard comic nerds knew who Blade was before his first movie. Three movies and a TV series, short lived as it was and talks of rebooting always around. They can make money off of Black Panther and Luke Cage otherwise there wouldn't be on going talks about them being made over the last decade or more in Hollywood circles. Thanks for playing.....

    Lol, Falcon.

Falcon's like the first token black guy super hero. But I have to say Mackie's a good choice for the character.

Ok, I found an interesting review on Mackie which I liked...

"I thought Mackie stood out very much in “The Adjustment Bureau” and he received a lot of accolades from his co-stars. It was his big debut in a movie as a co-lead, and he had the vision for a great character, humble and likable. He will need to bulk up for the role though, but he has plenty of time..."
