In mid-1968, the Temptations decided they could no longer put up with Ruffin's behavior and, after agreeing that he'd finally crossed the line when he missed a 1968 concert to attend a concert being performed by his new girlfriend, Barbara (Gail) Martin (daughter of Dean Martin) instead, they replaced him with former Contour Dennis Edwards, who had been a friend of Ruffin and the group as a whole before the replacing happened.

 

Thanks for the info. Had you seen the tv movie The Temptations? There are scenes of Ruffin with WW. I would not be surprised if he did drugs with them.

 

Knowing how he was he probably did Soul.

Dennis Edwards saved the Temps....that's when I started to like them...my favorite song:"I can't get next to you."

I never cared for "My Girl"..it was too corny...sound like something the Beatles would make but Dennis took that group to a whole other level...they were MEN....after he joined the group.

Kendricks did aiight when he went solo..."Keep on Truckin'"

 

Man it's starting to come out that alot
of these old time stars was involved in interracial.
