I'm sorry if this is old news.

but i just found these clip

It talks about Racism and Lookism. But it just shows why BM need to travel outside of the U.S. its really a sad thing! But news reports like these must make black people with a dark complexion feel down and/or angry! But its the harsh reality. it won't change

But the whole issue is much tougher on women than men though.

It's a wee bit sad that we're a nation of people who are generally superficial. Then again, exoticism is pretty much a worldwide phenomenon.

true. but i think when we travel outside of the U.S. we see proof that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. black or rather brown, is exotic and beautiful to some people, where it is clearly detested in certain places here in the U.S.

putting a brown person in an ad who doesn't have the RIGHT LOOKS. affects sales! the product won't make money.

african-americans (because of slavery and everythign that happend after it) have learned to hate certain aspects of themselves. And i think that these clips above show that mainstream white america (asthetically) hate us too.

    Who cares, Abercrombie is whack.

I'm glad they sell clothes cause it helps me spot out lame people immediately.

Doesn't FUBU now or at least in the past, mostly target a black market?

I don't get paid to market a brand name on my body, so I avoid buying Abercrombie, Hollister, Tommy, Aero, or any of those juvenile "brand" names that juvenile people insist on wearing on their person. I will however wear a good Ralph Lauren or J. Crew item if I find it in a thrift store because those clothes last forever if cared for properly ...(IF the tag is not on the outside)... like I said, the company is not paying me to advertise for them.

SCREW any company that markets to a particular race. I miss those Benetton ads from the eighties and early 90's - they were cool. J. Crew is also pretty cool in being diverse. As far as FUBU is concerned, I don't think I would be caught dead in any of their clothes, as far as I can recall, but I haven't seen their recent lines. Don't do hiphop style. Will never date a man rocking Sean John on his ass either. No names - no labels. Don't like it.

How about the takeover (and bastardization) of the classic British Burberry British plaid by the hiphop genre (not knocking it totally - wasn't Andre 3000 one of the first to be irreverent with the pattern)... of course he was working with the original I'm sure - now it's totally knocked off and lost all it's appeal because of multiple mutations. Digressing to say that while I will never wear or represent a brand (like they would have me lol), Abercrombie is retarded to ignore minorities. Look what Tommie Hilfiger did. That's all.

You know they are ailing anyways when there is a news story a while back, they were paying the cast of Jersey Shore to not wear their clothes. Brand is obviously in the sh*tter if those fashion wrecks wear it.
