Preach it, Lippy. When I post pics in the Ladies Room, I don't do a background check to see if they are into WW or married to a BW. I really don't care. I'm just looking for eye candy. I know you are talking about BW doing this, but some of the men on this forum are just as bad in the Men's Room. How many times have we seen 'Does she do brothas,' 'is she into BM,' and the famous 'I hope she fucks brothas.' I think that it's just crazy. Even if that model or actress does brothers, she's probably not going to be doing your ass anyway so what difference does it make? Hot is hot regardless of their personal lives. That's just my opinion.
I'd love a chocolate nut right now. :tonqe: Oh, damn. I'm in the wrong thread. I thought this was the Amanda Bynes' one. :smt042
But see we're just asking a rhetorical question, we don't get mad if they don't fuck brothas. At least I don't.
This is like one of the few times I can understand the anger of some black women. This is Essence magazine after all and it since its being marketed towards black females it would have made more sense, if discussing black love, choosing a high profile black male who is actually involved with a black woman. It was a goof on the magazine's part. That being said Essence is a magazine that for four to five years straight (maybe more) had an annual "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner Now" special in whic the focus of the magazine was about IR dating between black women and white men. I can't think of any other publication geared towards a specific race and gender that did anything like that. Imagine Vogue dedicating an issue per year about white chicks and their relationships with black men or Redbook focusing on an issue anually on the pairing of white women and Hispanic men.
The reason why Essence Magazine exist is because there are very few magazines that are truly representative of black women and not that stereotypical shit you see on tv. There are plenty of magazines that cater to white women. And its not about putting a "black male" on the magazine, it was about putting a male that at least find black women attractive. I would have taken Robin Thicke ANYDAY! mmm white chocolate, Essence would have been flying off the shelves!
exactly you shouldn't just like anyone else who is not a true fan of Essence, stick to yr Cosmos please
