AnMDBCartoon is coming to a U.S. CITY near *YOU!*

No tricks, no gammon....It's for TRUE!

Having contacted some people at various U.S. NBC telly affilliates, I am soon to embark on a 'tour', if you will, to pursue gleaning the local archives here & there for humourous teevee commercials for a forthcoming International TV Commercial Film Festival that we plan to have in London late next year.




Tentatively, in the upcoming months, I plan to pay visits to...

Tampa/Clearwater, FL.

Minneapolis, MN.

Detroit, MI.

Baltimore, MD.

Pittsburgh & Erie, PA.

Reno, NV.

Albuquerque, N.M.

Cheyenne & Rock Springs, WY.

Houston & Dallas, TX.

Hollywood, CA.

Denver, CO. (I sure as hell hope the Boulder wildfire fire will soon be at an end)

and of course

Chicago, IL.


By the way, Omaha, NE...been there, done that ( OmahaBoy & BetterTheSecondTime, I'm sooooooooosorry that I *missed* seein' ya both whilst we were there!)


Knowing a few local folks in the business here & there (and *outside* of in the business, as well...), I just got the idea from the World-Renowned CLIO awards....

And, seeing that there's OODLES of advert clips that NEVER get shown beyond their local boundaries, it's all in an effort to do my part to entertain the public...

Also, I intend to do some location filming for some upcoming live-action production projects..

Besides, I'm also doing my damndest to 'burn up' as many Frequent Flier Miles as I possibly can (260,076 of 'em to date..) before this United/Continental merger leaves me fucked & screwed....as I *know* it's gonna do..:smt088


Ennyhoo............it's possible that me & MrsCartoon (She's coming on *select* trips) might even meet some of my fellow WWBM-ers somewhere along the way..

Oh we definitely do. Just wait until you see the giant billboard truck for this one strip club. It's just a flatbed truck that drives around with a gigantic billboard on back. The idea alone cracks me up.

I think I see the most interesting advertisements on vehicles here, actually. I can scarcely go out the door without seeing an advertisement for anything from strip clubs to websites driving down the road. The latest one was for an anime-like thing (I'm not sure if it was a story, show, or just a anime inspired website) but it was advertised all over like a big dodge truck or something, just this cute little anime character. lol

So yeah, the moving ones are my favorites. lol But I'll keep my eyes peeled so I can note any other interesting ones for you! So even if I dont get you that rootbeer you can at least know where to look!

 

One final tidbit of info here...


Wherever I end up, you will *all* be able to recognise and identify Yours Truly whether with camera in hand or no...by my attire when I *am* Stateside...

I'll be attired in either local representation garb - that is, My custom made CHICAGO CUBS uniform, my custom made CHICAGO BEARS jersey...

Or one of the various and sundry football (soccer) jerseys of teams from The World Outside of The United States.


Failing that, You *WILL DEFINITELY* see me with - what should be grafted onto me...and that, most likely, I'll be buried or cremated with...my large black portfolio (It carries all of my cels and layouts & designs...plus various and sundry comic panels from the limited run "Cook County" Sunday strip. No room for tasteless jokes here. Don't even try) and/or black backpack (which carries my laptop, still & motion picture cameras).

A travelling one-man studio, I am, oft times...

Just saw this. I am in a burb south of Denver. As south as you can get, last exit and still say Denver. It takes me about 35-40 to get to Boulder where the fire is.
