. . . After Losing Bid For Congress

"Angela McGlowan, who left her post as a Fox News contributor to run for Congress, is now returning to the network after failing to win a Republican primary in Mississippi.

McGlowan announced her run at a Tea Party Convention last February. Fox News said shortly thereafter that she would not be a contributor to the network during her campaign.

She was beaten badly in the GOP primary in Mississippi's 1st District, garnering only 15 percent of the vote.

On Tuesday, McGlowan announced on her Facebook page that Fox News had re-hired her as a contributor.

She appeared on "Fox and Friends" and "The Strategy Room" on Wednesday morning."

After Obama won the presidency in 2008 he inspired blacks in BOTH political parties to run for office. Unfortunately, Ms Angela McGlowan ran in Mississippi as a Tea Party Republican and tried to get the black vote.

It also didn't help her that she married a white republican.

    "Angela McGlowan’s Self-Inflicted Wounds

Before the precincts came in and even with a 25th hour endorsement from Sarah Palin (via Twitter), it was greatly believed that Angela McGlowan’s fate was sealed. At the end of the day, the former FoxNews contributor and best-selling author managed 15 percent of the vote in a three way primary and was never a factor. She managed a second place finish in just one county (Lafayette) where she won about one-fifth of her vote total for the entire district. So what the heck happened on a campaign that had potential last summer when she publicly began hinting at a Congressional run?

The first that comes to mind when you think of McGlowan’s trouble was her August Gallo interview where she expressed support for federal gun registration. An audio of the interview made its way to the Internet- and websites such as Politico and RedState- less than a week after she formally declared her candidacy in February. At that time, I asked if McGlowan could recover from possibly the biggest blunder any candidate in MS-01 can make. Obviously that answer was no. But her problems were bigger than the Gallo interview."

"Black Conservative Angela McGlowan says 'Schvartzer' is just a nice German word meaning a "black person"

By John Amato Wednesday Mar 18, 2009 1:15pm

Conservative apologists will lie about almost anything to make their own talking points try to make sense. Here's a great example of this: Earlier this week Bill O'Reilly had on Angela McGlowan, a black conservative, to discuss Jackie Mason's joke calling Obama a "schvartzer." TMZ had caught up with Mason on the street and he started cursing them out as he told them that he's said worse things about other minorities. I think TMZ was out of line on this one (hounding an old man) and I bet most of you didn't even know about it until I posted on this. (That's a guess) I think comedians should basically say whatever the heck they want, if you don't like their humor, it will play out in the pocketbook. If Mason called Italians "WOPs" in a show that I attended it wouldn't bother me. But in McGlowan's attempt to attack the left and the PC police, she had the nerve to say that Schvartzer isn't a derogatory word used to describe blacks and she's not offended by it. I asked at least ten of my Jewish friends about this and while only one said it was mildly derogatory, all the rest said it was a slur. (FWIW, Bernie Goldberg came on O'Reilly's show last night to similarly assure the audience that it's not a slur.) She's the only African American I know who holds this view."

I never liked this woman. She expressed herself to many of the black men she debated with on Fox (when she was on it) as being superior and holy than thou to the black men. She had a way of making black men look like they were inexperienced boys on the issues. Fox can keep her sorry elitist ass.

As I mention previously, ever since Obama won the Presidency a lot of blacks of BOTH parties who feel that they can run for office think the climate is right for a person of color to win, little to they realize they have to shore up their base. This poses a problem with black republicans who have to go after the hard core conservatives (i.e. Tea Party) for votes and by doing that turning off the black vote. Not many African-Americans will not vote for a black person who voices Tea Party statements.

I am just curious why McGlowan decided to run unless she had the illusion of inclusion while working at FOX NEWS where fellow staff and employee told her to run and not consulting with REAL black folks in the field.

The result . . . she is back at FOX NEWS where her thoughts are accepted.

There's a reason she finished a distant third in her primary; nobody gives a shit about a lyin', bootlickin', biscuit-eating, shoe-shinin, two step, bojanglin Whitney Houston wannabe.
