A LOT of people buy their own powder and cook it up.
If you're gonna jump off a cliff, better to do it with a base pipe in your hand than smoking up crystal meth, which is THE WORST drug ever invented.

If you haven't seen up close how crack puts decent people out on the streets begging for cigarettes, turning tricks for 10 bucks and smelling like piss, I can see how someone might think it's not that bad.

Share Print Font: +-LONDON — A representative for Amy Winehouse says the singer has checked out of a treatment program in London following a week there.

Spokesman Chris Goodman said Thursday that the 27-year-old is now looking forward to touring Europe this summer and is "raring to go."

    Amy Winehouse back in rehab
Goodman says Winehouse will continue to be seen as an outpatient at the Priory Clinic, which offers treatment for a range of psychiatric problems, as well as drug and alcohol addiction. He did not say why Winehouse was there.

Winehouse's breakthrough disc, 2006's "Back to Black," won her five Grammy Awards and helped her achieve worldwide stardom, but her music has been overshadowed by drug use and run-ins with the law.

Goodman said Winehouse was grateful for messages of support sent by fans since she entered the clinic.

Amy looking quite beautiful BEFORE the drugs ravaged her looks...

ps: I like the prophetic post left under the YT clip 5 months ago.... v
and this one to her haters...
Anyway, the word is on Friday she bought off a dealer coke, heroin, ecstasy and horse tranquilizers.
Her friend said she could snort a cow size of coke - no problems, but those ecstasy pills were probably a bad batch, and mixed with booze, what did her in.

One has to wonder if perhaps this was planned?? I mean subconsciously, she was killing herself, but perhaps she was consciously and intentionally going this way????:smt102
She had a fantastic voice of that, nobody can argue - it was as far as I understand a natural talent that wasn't trained, she was just pure soulful and had a god give talent.

My sister calls it "a death urge".

Hers was loud and clear. Many of us have it also, but it's sometimes disguised in different ways, so not every one sees theirs so clearly (if they have one).

I have a diluted version I call a "fuck my life up" urge..where I sometimes do things to sabotage my success in life, knowing full well I'm doing it, but unable to stop myself. Followed by kicking my own ass for letting it occur.

True, I have been there myself - not the drug thing but the "fuck my life up" urge... Its a tough one to fight. I used to sabotage everything good happening to me, including relationships.
I still think its there, very weak, but there. I have had that demon in check, for a very long time.
As long as you are aware of it and see it... there is hope. To realize _why_ its there is the trick. I know why I had mine and that realization has made me able to deal with it. I haven't had a day of therapy other than my own but I have done good much to my surprise.. lol

It sure looks that way. Plus I'm sure all the different activities you do and the endorphins they create helps towards you wanting the best for yourself...

I kinda think about Amy and how she threw her talents away, and then I think "well how many of my own (albeit not on her scale, but nonetheless talents that are mine)..did I ignore, or simply squander? I just take so much for granted.
So yeah, still working on shoving the beast back in its cage. ;)

yeah, everyone has their demons. some just doesnt manifest themselves in such a manner. people need to get off the high horse. Its unfortunate she did this to herself

I saw the mary j. blige behind the music (YAWN. because its so typical) and she talked about her drug use. the dude she is married to her now asked her told her in summation " you use these drugs/alcohol because you dont love yourself. Why dont you love yourself". damn deep ass statement.

I always say If you dont love yourself , then how in the hell can you love someone else properly

It has taken a lot of discipline though.. that and keeping busy. I am not an organized person naturally. But I have found that if I keep at the organizing part - that keeps things in check and things wont slide.
So I make lists - sounds mundane but it keeps me form slacking and as a result I start to sabotage myself otherwise - it seem to roll over on all aspects of my life otherwise. The working out thing seems to help in that aspect tremendously - I can be my worst enemy and I am very hard on myself. I think too much, and working out helps with that. I am of course still a work in progress:-D

In a final photo, Amy's (former) bodyguards posed with a box containing her ashes outside the London crematorium. The one holding her ashes was the one who found her in her bed.

No joke, I sooo relate to what you wrote. I'm (still) all those things (that you now keep in check).
I cannot do lists- I'll lose them.
Clearly, I'm the BEFORE and you are the AFTER. <-- I have hope yet! [IMG]

Dude, YOU SUCK as a bodyguard!!!!

If your client is a hard abuser, IMO you should conveniently make shit DISAPPEAR. Like, her DRUGS, dummy!!!

And if she's using, your big ass should ALWAYS be in the room with her.

I know it's not really fair to blame it all on dude, but at some point he's paid to be an asshole to save his client's life.
