    That's hilarious; I have only ever heard of Stockton from my dear aunty who spent some time there and said it was indeed a shit hole. I will send her this article so she can see she was right! For me though, I think even Stockton would be a huge improvement to some of the cold, miserable, deserted, unpopulated shit holes we have in Australia.

    What!? A lot of the most miserable cities are in California. I'm surprised New Orleans didn't make the cut.

    Much of that politically biased. Forbes advocates an unfettered freemarket economic philosophy, so it makes sense for them to dump on California because we believe in regulation. No other state is hated more by the right.
