Pres. Obama should nominate UN Ambassador Susan Rice for secretary of State. If the Repugnants want a fight over it, take them to the mat.

McCain is definitely an asshole for calling her "not very bright"...you just don't say shit like that about someone, even if you think it's true. He's within his rights to question what she did or did not do concerning the Libya attacks, but the personal shit is way over the line. Of course, we have seen a lot of that the last 4 years.

As for whether the president will nominate Ms. Rice for SOS, I think it depends how much of a fight he wants to expend right away. I'd like to see her get it. They have talked about John Kerry, but I like him where he is, in the Senate, and I would prefer not to expose that seat.

I too hope she is nominated. The hypocrisy of the Republican will be shown on TV with MCCain and his sidekick being exposed. I think she is academically gifted (rhodes scholar) and quick on the feet to expose McCain and Graham for what they have become.
